Is there any shops that repairs super/semi automatic espresso machine in Vancouver? I have a super automatic that started making this weird high pitch sound after a cleaning routine I did.

Check with espressotec in Vancouver? I know they service major brands like rocket, la marzocco.... etc.

Which make/model is your super automatic? It may be a common issue on the usual suspects like Gaggia, Philips/Saeco, so there are online articles and troubleshooting guides on how to fix it yourself.
Also, how are you able to replicate the noise? When you pull a shot, or when you do something else like steam milk etc?

It’s a Philips 3100 from Costco. I’ll definitely try to see if I can find the issues online. Thanks you guys

It’s a Philips 3100 from Costco. I’ll definitely try to see if I can find the issues online. Thanks you guys | This should be simple enough: https://www.philips.ca/c-f/XC0000041...making-a-noise
Try this before repairing or returning.

Think this thread might work better than the where can I find this locally one
So does anyone know where I can find a Breville Barista Touch espresso machine locally?
Amazon has it but it's not able to arrive before christmas https://www.breville.com/ca/en/produ...so/bes880.html

If you have a need for before xmas, can't help as they are all OOS. But that model can be purchased at Bed, Bath and Beyond with their 20% off coupon as it's not part of the "Oracle" line-up.

Perhaps Santa (ahem *FedEx & CBSA*) decided I was good this year, so Christmas came a few days early for me.
This is how I will be drinking coffee moving forward.

Thoughts on a De'Longhi La Specialista?
I've never had a machine before, so this would be my first. Would this be too much for a beginner? Any other accessories that would be helpful in addition to the machine and it's included accessories?

Once I’m back in spring the espresso machine will be riding in the back seat of the truck.

However, I do feel that for its premium, I'd much rather get the Breville 870XL. It's an overall great machine and gives you everything you need to start learning, be it grinding size, brew time, and milk frothing.
It goes on sale for 600 at BB&B which one can apply the 20% off coupon on top bringing down to just over 500 tax in. In a value proposition, that's hard to beat.
And if you really want to have a set that you can experiment and produce great shots, I'd say go after the Rancillio Silvia+a decent grinder of choice depending on budget. That would push the budget to around 1500 or more, but it should last you a few years before you starting to feel the need to replace your equipment to further experiment on the coffee journey. That'd be my choice over the Specialista or if you want something more than the 870XL.

IMO there's better technical/aftermarket support from Breville and
Have you had experience making an espresso with a home machine before? I suggest finding a friend who has an espresso machine and see if you actually enjoy the whole process. I find a lot of people get bored or frustrated at the amount of time and effort to make a mediocre cup of espresso or latte and end up going back to Nespresso or going to the cafe.

As I’ve said before I have the 870XL and it’s been great to this point, virtually no maintenance required outside of cleaning and changing filters etc. And it’s been pulling a couple double shots a day for almost 3 years now. Would buy again

Would buy again | For those interested in one but not in a rush to get it, you'll want to set up a keyword alert on RFD. It goes on sale at Bed Bath & Beyond from time to time, and with their 20% off coupon it can be had at around $480 before tax vs $899 regular price. Otherwise, it's on sale for $560 right now with coupon.
