^I can't imagine any wife being okay with that on their kitchen counter :lol

All I'm gonna say is you get what you pay for when you bought a DeLonghi heh.

For superauto, it's Phillips/Miele/Jura in price order for my recommendations.

Badhobz 03-20-2024 12:27 PM

Whatever Costco has I’ll try it. If it ever poops out again I’ll just throw it back and get another one

Weren't you dreaming of ricing out a 350z? This is really not so different :).

The difference being this probably would make a more reliable daily :ilied:

My delonghi lasted 8 years and is still going (don't use it everyday, switched to breville) Not the best machine honestly, but it gets the job done.

I dunno about going the espresso way again if I were you. I've been paying attention to your needs and honestly it sounds like you need a Nespresso machine. I do coffee 4 ways but when guests come over I run the nespresso and it can easily pump out 5 coffees in 10 minutes and everyone is happy.

bcrdukes 03-20-2024 01:09 PM

If he can take apart a Lexus dashboard, he can get a semi-automatic espresso machine and rice it out as pictured above.

bcrdukes 03-20-2024 01:11 PM

When guests come over, they ask me to make them coffee. I say no, and tell them to go up the block to McDonald's. Guest at my place can fuck right off. :accepted:

bcrdukes 03-20-2024 01:12 PM

Why did I post three times?

If you're looking for a new machine, you can reach out to the guys at Espressotec on Clark.

Very knowledgeable folks.

True say, brother :(.

Great68 03-20-2024 03:04 PM

After 15 years, finally decided to put the old cuisinart drip machine out to pasture. The design was really crap which allowed coffee grinds to gett into the reservior tank, and it was nearly impossible to clean out properly.

So got one of these:

Coffee snobs are probably snickering, but for someone who likes black drip coffee, this is fancy for me! haha

Nothing wrong with that!

BTW I've never bought an OXO product that was even moderately bad. Whenever I need something for the kitchen, the first thing I do is check to see if they make one.

bcrdukes 03-20-2024 07:03 PM

That's actually a really nicely rated and designed coffee maker. A+ and great buy, Great68!

Please do post a review. I am very curious about this one myself. I like the carafe and the overall size.

roastpuff 03-20-2024 07:09 PM

If I didn't have a Moccamaster I'd consider that one, OXO products has gone well for me.

Honestly if you want that, Nespresso is actually very good for something cheap and easy.

bcrdukes 03-20-2024 07:14 PM

Ditto on Nespresso.

My only issue (and this is a personal one) is I find the coffee gives me the jitters. I can't handle it.

If you're a supplement junkie, add L-Theanine to your stack. It removes most of the "edge" of caffeine, but still allows the good effects. 200mg whenever you have a high caffeine dose.

I don't know what to say other than it works great, easy to clean, brews pretty quick, a big upgrade from the old one I had. Coffee certainly tastes better than the old machine once we dialed in the ratio we liked.

The only downside is that this one is only a 9 cup machine, the old one was 10 cup. With the old machine the wife and I would make a pot in the morning and get 2 full normal sized coffee mugs out of it each.
Now we get like 1-3/4 mug each, which often leaves us wanting just a bit more, so now we make a whole extra half batch to get another full cup and drink more coffee overall than we used to :P

roastpuff 03-20-2024 07:43 PM

The decaf beans from the small roasters are actually quite good and tasty.

bcrdukes 03-20-2024 07:43 PM

roastpuff - Please bring your Moccamaster out to the next Stock and Noob meet for a coffee sampling. :D

roastpuff 03-20-2024 08:13 PM
