The Miele machines are pretty good.

Hondaracer 03-27-2024 05:40 AM

Reviews incredibly poor for a $2000 machine lol

Badhobz 03-27-2024 05:47 AM

I know I saw that too. Friggin crazy.
This is why I buy it from Costco. If it craps out I’m gonna return it just like the last one.

Returning stuff at Costco is a lifestyle. - Badhobz :accepted:

Yea it always feels like such a risk buying anything elsewhere :lol

Surprised to see the majority of the comments are things just stopped working completely on such a machine

At that price, why not get a Profitec Pro 700 or Lelit Bianca V3?
If you've got 3k to drop.... are we really that far off from a La Marzocco Linea Micra?

Hondaracer 03-27-2024 08:26 AM

Hobz probably doesn’t want to risk buying anything Italian he can’t return? :lol

Badhobz 03-27-2024 08:29 AM

what the fuck are those!? thats just coffee jibberish to me!

Like i said, i dont know anything about coffee. I just want a machine so i can serve people coffee when they are over (the last machine was like 899 on sale at boxing day, but i found out it was an espresso machine... that didnt make fucking coffee!!!).

I was really worried about these pieces of shits breaking and lo and behold that DeCrappy machine did break in less than 6 months. I dont think these other fancy machines are gonna be any better so unless they sell them in costco, i dont even wanna know.

Italian car ownership has soured me to the prospect of owning anything italian. Even my fucking vespa 300 almost killed me when it died on the highway 91 and i was doing 120km/h and all of a sudden the damn thing crapped out.

If you think Hobz is going to actually dirty his hands in making the drink he serves his guests.... you need to think again. :D

I think the bad reviews are overblown, I had the older version of this machine and it worked great, I just didn't think it made good enough espresso.

Badhobz 03-27-2024 10:08 AM

Making drinks ?! What is that ? Like pushing a button !?

Worst part is cleaning out the drip tray and the grinds. Annoying !

If you just need coffee, I use an older version of this Ninja machine below and is still serving me well after 4 years. It makes great hot and iced coffee, though I'm not a coffee aficionado.

It doesn't make espresso-based drinks though so you'll need a separate machine for that - I don't think anyone out there makes one machine that does both coffee and espresso-based drinks at consumer-grade prices.

No man! No.

Man logic: I bought a few bags of these beans from 49 parallel. Didn’t get to try them before my deCrappy kicked the bucket. Thus I need an espresso machine to grind the remaining 20 dollar bags of beans by using a 2 grand machine.

Duh !!!

Wife’s like why don’t you just throw out the beans and buy a cheap machine that uses pre ground coffee. Or better yet just buy a separate bean grinder.

Shadddup bitch !!!!! Get outta here with your woman’s logic

snowball 03-27-2024 11:53 AM

We can't help him, we told him to get a $150 nespresso machine but he went and bought a $2k machine and n 6 months he's gonna have an entire starbucks location installed in his garage.

Your preference to sit for pissing isn't about splashing and missing the toilet it's about your opportunity to browse RS LUL

bcrdukes 03-27-2024 02:27 PM

I guess we'll just need to have the next Stock and Noob meet at his house?

Badhobz 03-27-2024 02:32 PM

I’ll be on the toilet shit posting about XLBs and you guys not sitting down to pee.

There's always Synesso and Slayer if you want to go American... :fuckthatshit: Both are Seattle-based IIRC. There are showrooms there that you can visit and try them out.

Seriously though, for 2.5k, hobz should start looking at entry level dual-boiler machines. Profitec Pro 300 makes great coffee and can be had for around 2k. Throw in a nice home grinder at ~600, you've got a great combo. And if you are not messing around with some crazy light-roasted beans and pouring 10+ shots continuously, I don't see the benefit of Slayer or Synesso. These machines are expensive because they've got a lot of commercial-grade parts that don't come cheap. But they offer consistency more than anything.

Badhobz 03-27-2024 10:42 PM

You’re talking to a guy who didn’t even know the difference between coffee and espresso till I bought the deCrappy machine in Dec last year. I thought they were the same thing…..

I also spelled it expresso as in express my ass to the toliet after drinking too many of them.

It’s kind of a cool hobby but honestly I can’t tell the difference. All I know is that it taste better than instant coffee. I still like trung ngyene in a can though

Aren't there free-to-use grinders at grocery stores?! Even Costco has them out here to just dump your beans into and grind :D.

Also, there are built-in grinders on non-espresso machines too!!
