Car seat repair

So I've got a fairly large rip on my seat. It runs along the bolster where it meets the seat. I'm not handy with a sewing needle either. I don't care very much as far as how it looks cosmetically. I considered duct tape, but I'm pretty sure after a couple of weeks of hot weather it gets sticky and gross along the edges. Is there another tape similar to hockey tape that might work? Has anyone had experience using any fabric glues to repair seams?

I wasn't sure if something like super glue or hot glue would do the trick. I'll see if I can find that Mighty Mendit stuff locally.

i've tried using something called liquid stitch. got it at fabricland back in the day. the repair area was only 3 inches in length. held together for about a year and then it tore again :(

i would seriously consider just going to an upholsterer and ask what their cut rate i don't care how it looks like just stop it from tearing any worse price is.
