Took one out for a test drive today. - cool that it comes with a snow tire package and car cover in the price - the interior alcantara/suede touches make it feel very nice - although the RS seats looks structurally identical to my ST seats, they are more comfortable (and slightly looser in the hip) - the suspension in normal/sport is very very stiff. Turn it to track mode and it's absolutely unbearably stiff and bouncy. - all the things I like about my ST, are just a bit better and more thought out. Things from the steering wheel, USB/12v placement, the tray in the arm rest. They did a good job I guess asking what old focus owners didn't like, and improving it. - does not come with a spare tire, only a pump/slime kit. That's no good if you damage the tire instead of just a nail puncture... - clutch and tranny are super smooth. Definitely an improvement on the ST But.... Dat price doe. It feels great but for my situation it's just too expensive |
Was behind one this evening on my way home from work, the crackles from the exhaust made my heart melt. |

So did they fix the engine issues they were having? It sucks that Ford made such an amazing car in stock form but if you want to upgrade the reliability just drops enormously.. |

Nobody in their right mind should be paying MSRP for an RS right now, there is 124 of them for sale on auto trader, 110 of which are brand new, 44 of which are in Sask/AB/BC. Anyone who wanted one got one, now Ford will have to work to sell the rest of them. |

Limited production and dealer markup for normal RS makes it hard to sell already. I watched the youtube video and it looks aggressive and sleek. Oh boy |

You can actually snap up a used RS for a decent price already, I'm sure it's a damn good car.. styling is a bit off for me, but no worse than the new CTR. Maybe I should go test drive an RS. |
I think you'd be dissapointed. Not being rude, but your tastes seem a bit more.... "Rich" than what an RS can offer |
anybody check up details on lease? Ford Canada website says contact the dealer lol |
Lease rates 24mo 0% Res 58% 36mo 0% Res 48% 48mo 0% Res 40% 60mo 0.99% Res 32% Residuals are based on high km 25,000 per year lease. Will change if you were to go to a 16 or 20,000km. Current rates are good through end of month. |
How much do you have to put down to get 0%? |
Your name on the dotted line and average credit |
Can you actually get one pretty easy now or is it order basis? |
Im showing 16 in BC with the majority in strange places like Fernie or Golden. What the dealers are asking for them Im not sure I can just see MSRP. Most dealers still aren't willing to trade them to other dealers. My friend at a different dealer actually bought one at another dealer at full MSRP then marked it up $5K and sold it to a customer wanting one. The demand is still there but when they are in places like Fernie, Golden, Nelson etc...with the dealer not willing to trade most sales people will just say there aren't any left and they will sit there until bought or the dealer is willing to trade out of a small town. If you were to order one now it would be a 2018 in the Special Edition spec and only 500 allocated to Canada and we already have one in our order bank waiting to get approved. We seem to be quite the popular dealer when it comes to these vehicles because we do not mark them up past MSRP. |
good guy dealer. not marking stuff over MSRP on limited release car. |
one of my buddies just picked up a white one. guy is almost 70 and has money to blow, but took advantage of the 72mo 0% financing. fuckkkk makes me want to trade my ST in so bad. but with all my mods, dealers aren't really interested in my car, and im pretty lazy about putting every stock part back on (i kept every oem nut and bolt of course) |

Just gonna put this here. It’s not April 1st and it’s not The Onion. The Ford Focus RS 'Drift Stick' handbrake won't stop the fun | Fox News |
^ doesn't even void the warranty... A little surprised by the source though |
Focus rs a turd? Did ford shit the bed? |
That's not the first time Ford screws its customers. Ask the Mustang 350 boys. |
Good part is that they're covering it under warranty. Bad part is, who knows if the updated head gasket is any good. |
^ gotta drive for another 20-30k to find out.. and by that time, warranty will be up lololololol |
