- cool that it comes with a snow tire package and car cover in the price
- the interior alcantara/suede touches make it feel very nice
- although the RS seats looks structurally identical to my ST seats, they are more comfortable (and slightly looser in the hip)
- the suspension in normal/sport is very very stiff. Turn it to track mode and it's absolutely unbearably stiff and bouncy.
- all the things I like about my ST, are just a bit better and more thought out. Things from the steering wheel, USB/12v placement, the tray in the arm rest. They did a good job I guess asking what old focus owners didn't like, and improving it.
- does not come with a spare tire, only a pump/slime kit. That's no good if you damage the tire instead of just a nail puncture...
- clutch and tranny are super smooth. Definitely an improvement on the ST
But.... Dat price doe. It feels great but for my situation it's just too expensive
Back for its final model year, with only 500 vehicles available across Canada, the 2018 Limited Edition Focus RS comes with modifications inspired by the enthusiast community. Unique to the 2018 model, the Limited Edition Focus RS will feature a black painted roof, black mirror caps and a black spoiler with the new RS decal. There are also new interior carbon fibre accents, and improved performance and handling with a new front axle limited slip differential. The limited slip differential will enable the car to achieve increased cornering speeds and faster lap times.
The Limited Edition Focus RS continues to include a comprehensive list of standard equipment including a 2.3L EcoBoost® 350 HP engine, Ford Performance AWD system with Dynamic Torque Vectoring, 19” Premium Forged Alloy Wheels with Michelin® performance summer tires, 18” Winter Alloy Wheels with Michelin® performance winter tires, heated leather Recaro® seats, heated steering wheel, SYNC®3, voice-activated navigation, SONY® audio system, power moonroof and much more.
In response to popular demand, the 2018 Limited Edition Focus RS will now be available in Race Red. The only other available colour for 2018MY is the optional Nitrous Blue Quad Coat paint.
So did they fix the engine issues they were having? It sucks that Ford made such an amazing car in stock form but if you want to upgrade the reliability just drops enormously..

I was just @ Sherwood Dodge getting an oil change on my truck, was looking at a Raptor and shooting the shit with salesman about my history of cars, he pointed out that they had 3 RS's sitting on the lot and were willing to negotiate price.
Nobody in their right mind should be paying MSRP for an RS right now, there is 124 of them for sale on auto trader, 110 of which are brand new, 44 of which are in Sask/AB/BC.
Anyone who wanted one got one, now Ford will have to work to sell the rest of them.

And the price?? $58,888
Now they coming up with a Limited edition. Probably after markup $65,xxx
Limited production and dealer markup for normal RS makes it hard to sell already. I watched the youtube video and it looks aggressive and sleek.

Works for me, I'm considering getting an RS/CTR/Golf R/Fiesta ST (when it gets a 3-cylinder) about a year from now. It shouldn't be terribly difficult to get a decent deal on one by then, yeah?
You can actually snap up a used RS for a decent price already, I'm sure it's a damn good car.. styling is a bit off for me, but no worse than the new CTR.
Maybe I should go test drive an RS.

Im showing 16 in BC with the majority in strange places like Fernie or Golden. What the dealers are asking for them Im not sure I can just see MSRP. Most dealers still aren't willing to trade them to other dealers. My friend at a different dealer actually bought one at another dealer at full MSRP then marked it up $5K and sold it to a customer wanting one. The demand is still there but when they are in places like Fernie, Golden, Nelson etc...with the dealer not willing to trade most sales people will just say there aren't any left and they will sit there until bought or the dealer is willing to trade out of a small town.
If you were to order one now it would be a 2018 in the Special Edition spec and only 500 allocated to Canada and we already have one in our order bank waiting to get approved. We seem to be quite the popular dealer when it comes to these vehicles because we do not mark them up past MSRP.
one of my buddies just picked up a white one. guy is almost 70 and has money to blow, but took advantage of the 72mo 0% financing. fuckkkk makes me want to trade my ST in so bad. but with all my mods, dealers aren't really interested in my car, and im pretty lazy about putting every stock part back on (i kept every oem nut and bolt of course)
