US pricing has apparently leaked - $35,730

2016 Ford Focus RS Price Leaked: $35,730 » AutoGuide.com News

So possibly in the $38k-40k range here to start?

2016 Ford Focus RS Hits 60 in Just 4.7 Seconds, Starts At $36,605

brrrz 09-16-2015 04:42 PM

Found out today from Ford Canada my dealership will be getting 6+ of these. Probably have to take one for a test drive...you know for product knowledge. We are also on the list to receive a Ford GT...don't think I will be able to take that around the block LOL

320icar 09-16-2015 04:47 PM

Are they all spoken for already via pre-orders or down payment? I wouldn't put a dp on one, but would like to see one in person before I decide if I'm gonna trade in my '14 ST

brrrz 09-16-2015 06:13 PM

We have got two of them spoken for already which I hear is about the same as all the other dealers out there. I have heard mixed rumors of them not beginning production until next spring or not available until next spring. Either way my guess is most of the first 2016models will be sold before they hit the lot at least for the first 4 months or so. Kinda like when the 15 mustang came. You had a better chance seeing one on the road then in a dealer now each dealer seems to have at least 2 of them

MSRP for Canadian ?
$50,000+ ??

320icar 09-16-2015 07:36 PM

Should be around 39,999

dru 09-16-2015 07:51 PM

$46,969

Drift-able Ford Focus RS priced at $46,969 - Autos.ca

Akinari 09-16-2015 10:27 PM

Yeah...no

Not going to buy a turbo 4cyl hatchback when I can buy a badass V8 coupe for less.

320icar 09-16-2015 10:31 PM

You mean why buy a fast powerful practical car with a full warranty that will share lots of regular focus parts, instead of a v8 amg car with 90k car kind of maintenance?

BoostedBB6 09-17-2015 07:12 AM

Trying to bite into the STi/Evo world with a Ford.....I like the car but 50k is out of line IMO.
More money than a fully loaded STi but not proven at all.....and sounds like crap in that Ken block video to boot.

Or maybe he's talking about a 2015 mustang gt? But for me personally, if I were to spend that much money it would go towards a c6 z06 corvette.

320icar 09-17-2015 10:51 AM

Durr. Didn't think of that lol. A nice mustang GT with a sport pack should be pretty much the same price. Especially if you snag it around Ford employee pricing (or have a costco membership and get up to 1000 off instantly). Oh that would be a difficult choice...

i've been pricing them out, a base gt with track pack and recaro's comes out to just under $45k. i bet with employee pricing you could get it a little cheaper, thats if that promotion is still going on of course..

edit: employee pricing ends september 30th. better get on it soon!

i just priced out another one, comes to $40k with employee pricing. god damn, now i want one. lol

brrrz 09-17-2015 12:51 PM

There are 4 non premium mustang GTs with recaros left in the province... 3 of them are autos

I was referring to the Mustang GT :derp: without a doubt I'd much rather have a V8 Mustang which starts way less than the Focus RS does as well...loaded up is still cheaper.

Hell I wouldn't even mind an Ecoboost Premium with Performance Pack then slap on a Cobb tune.

Who the fuck cross shops AMG and Focus?

vitaminG 09-17-2015 03:51 PM

a mustang GT and a focus RS arent really a good comparo either, v8 rwd coupe or 5 dr turbo 4 awd. dont think too many people will cross shop.

real competitors are golf r $40k, sti $38k and even audi s3 $45k. focus might have a bit more tech and may be a bit faster, but i think id rather have any of those for cheaper and imo look better less boy racer look

although id rather have m235i for 45k than any of those...

Nomomo 09-17-2015 03:57 PM

May as well get an amg a45 if your gonna spend that much.

Dunno buddy, sti's, golf R's and evos aren't really much cheaper. And you get (maybe) better tech and better performance? I dunno we'll have to wait and see once it's released. But I think I'd still rather have the focus Rs. I'm super bias tho

2015 MITSUBISHI LANCER EVOLUTION X EVO GSR IT'S NOW OR NEVER !!!!

2015 SUBARU WRX STI SPORT-TECH !! LIGHTNING RED METALLIC!!

GS8 09-17-2015 06:54 PM

I can say with fair certainty this car was never meant to be a high volume seller. Just a made to order car for people who just want it, also dealers who will gouge the shit out of it on the showroom.

I'm sure Ford's not complaining about it either. They showed us what they're capable of but they price it to the point of not having to mass produce it. Seems fine from a business standpoint. It's a straight niche car.
