heading down to states, good place to buy new tires?
I am going shopping this weekend there and also want to pick up new set of tires. Options on where to buy good set for perhaps lower price than here even though exchange rate is crap?
Figure out what tires you want, and compare the prices after exchange rates and taxes applied.
Sucks how Canadian dollar practically lost 20% of its spending power in such a short time
i compared oktire, kaltire, 1010tires, tire rack, discount tire direct and canadian tire. I am going for either continental dws, or michelin pilot a/s 3 and so far the pilots are the cheapest at canadian tire.
Yeah, too bad can't do much shopping anymore unless its cheap or food! Anyways, I can't think of any other well known establishment that has tires...

size? you should checkout costco ($70 off sale now)
If you're going to get them mounted on your car while you're down there then stop by Costco or Discount Tire. You can even pre-order from Costco and schedule your appointment in advance.
