too bad it's still slower than the GT-R
I'll respect it once it proves itself that it's faster than the GT-R, ZR-1, Viper, etc.

With the new naming scheme I wonder if the top dog 488 will be the GTO?

Technically this is not a "complete replacement" (as the video suggests) more of a mid-cycle update to the 458 platform. And about time too cause now Ferrari has something to compete against the McLaren 650S and Huracan.

Geez, the 458 is already five years old? Sure doesn't feel like it's that old.

ok so it's pretty much the same thing as 458 but with some updates?

Just like Ferrari 550 and 575, Testarossa and 512TR, and I believe 348 and F355 shared same platform too, because I remember people doing F355 conversion on 348.

Looks pretty good. Liking the turbos. I believe this is a "one up" to the Speciale, so not a complete replacement.

Not as beautiful as the 458 IMO, but still an awesome looking car. Tons of power, and from what I read, 50% more downforce than the 458 also.

World premiere of the 488 GTB at the Ferrari factory. Formula One driver Sebastian Vettel revs the car. What an engine sound!

You're not alone, but then I think they've been going downhill in the looks department since the F348 and F355.

Funny, when I see the car I just think of how the 458 never did it for me other than the speciale. It's like the 488 fixed every design cue I wasnt't a big fan of.

pretty much my thoughts

I loved the 458's lines from the front quater panels back but always hated the front end. I felt that it was a master peice with a huge blemish

to me this car flows much better and the front end looks more in tune to the total design of the car where as the 458 just looked odd to me

Exactly my thoughts. I also didn't like the 3 exhausts in the rear.
