Surprisingly it's pretty good towing a 9000lb boat compared to my F350. The ecoboost 3.5L is great!
Right now they have awesome lease deals on leftover 2014 F150's. Oh and if you own 100 ford shares for at least.. 3 months? you can get a X-plan discount as well.
BUILT FORD TOUGH!!! | I'm getting pretty much A-plan pricing from a friend of a friend's, so it's an awesome deal. The lease rate is not great - Ford is doing 7% for personal leases, so it's pretty ugh. Same with finance - 4.9%, yuck. Good to know that you like your F-150. I'm hoping for good highway mileage because that's going to be most of the km's on this truck, with in-town stuff being really short because I live in a very small town. Quote:

I have friends who swear by their Silverados, and swear they are more comfortable and get better fuel economy, but IMO, they are a generation or 2 behind. GM's entire line up seems like its a generation behind and they just keep polishing up the same old platforms for the last 10 years with no innovation. Ford and Ram are pulling away, imo.

So I'm pretty damn close to pulling the trigger on a 2014 Ram 1500 Laramie, loaded to the gills. I've got a decent price from the dealer, and the truck is nice. Good trade-in value, dealer's tossing stuff in to sweeten the pot.
Just having second thoughts now on whether I want to have a higher payment than what I do now, and whether a truck will be a hassle when I move back to Vancouver. Ugh I hate cold feet.

Just having second thoughts now on whether I want to have a higher payment than what I do now, and whether a truck will be a hassle when I move back to Vancouver. Ugh I hate cold feet. | Vancouver really isn't that bad for owning a truck. I even drive mine DT all the time, and never really think twice about it.
I've even taken the dually downtown with the trailer hooked up cause I was running late and too lazy to unhook it. People just kinda give you lots of room, and if they don't tough luck cause I'm gonna be taking up the room regardless.
Owning a truck is like owning a guard dog, doesn't matter where you take it, or how packed the venue is, if you want room others are going to get the fuck out of the way.
Only two things bother me about driving the truck (specifically with the trailer attached):
1. Following distances on the highway, I maintain a longer following distance because that is how far it takes me to stop the fucking behemoth. Yet some fucking little ricer garbage will always speed past me and cut me off thinking him being one car farther ahead is going to get him somewhere.
2. Paying for two parking stalls, this can get pretty expensive. I'm being genuinely serious.
Other than that having a truck is a blessing, I watched some stupid girl back her honda civic into the front of my parked truck, but it just went underneath the front bumper and hit the tow hooks, her car was fucked to the max, but my truck didn't have a mark on it.

Ya driving with a truck is much nicer than a car. When I put my signal on people move for me, unlike now with my St... Driving downtown really isn't that bad at all. I would take my extended cab longbox cummins downtown and parallel park that bitch better than all the cars. It's really not that bad. But the gas is gonna suck.

What kind of price you getting on the ram?
Honestly, if you have a backup camera and a 5.5ft bed it's really easy driving around Vancouver.

And then if you are going to go that far you might as well go all the way to the top and just get the 3500 Diesel Denali with the Dually's.

After moving to Smithers first thing I bought was a Jeep. After that I bought a truck to pull the Trailer I bought. Got a RAM 1500 Laramie 2003. Pulls what it needs to but the fuel mileage is shit. I test drove the new Rams and they are amazing. Heated steering wheel is a godsend for us up north. I haven't driven the Ford but that Ecoboost motor is amazing. The Dodge tranny is 8 speed and the fuel economy is better than the Ford I believe.
Berz out.

There's been plenty of times my backup sensor goes off when it's something off to the side that I don't even need to worry about. It's nice being able to park within an inch of something, or hook a trailer up quickly.

I agree with the first 2 but its not as powerful as the domestic trucks especially if u compare the top of the line engines for the other brands
I drive a 2014 Tundra 1794 edition as a work truck a lot in the summer it has no problems with 1000+ pounds in the bed

If you consider diesel, I would go with a 1500 dodge with the v6 diesel. Good mileage added hauling capability and good mileage. If not then for sure an ecoboost. Dont buy a gm, fucking junk. |
