Not sure if this is the correct forum but,

My friend was driving my car and within seconds hit my garage door. Only the body is damaged. The dealer is making me buy the whole unit altogether. Is there any way to buy just the casing?

If its just the lens, I can help you, or I can recommend you to bodyshops that contract us.
We're also ICBC accredited, so we can do the whole claim thing if private is too expensive.

you can either buy just the skull cap (painted cap portion of mirror) or mirror glass seperately.
If the assembly itself is damaged, yes you will need to buy the whole thing.
