Subaru Key Replacement

Hey guys. My dad got a 97 outback for work, and the key he got it with is very worn down. Do you know where I can get a replacement key for it?

Go to Subaru with the insurance papers. They can give you the key code. Take that code to a lock smith and they will cut you an AS NEW key.

One thing to keep in mind, if the original key is very warn and you get a brand new one it may not work as well in the ignition as the pins in the ignition often wear with the key.

Killer 4 month bump but you're correct. The Outback didn't get a chip until 2005.

Take it to any key cutting shop.
