Exactly! People are complaining that it's boring and wasn't exciting enough. It's Floyd Mayweather, he's the master at counterpunching and that's the style he has fought with his entire life.

Waiting for the Pacquiao vs Mayweather 2 fight announcement.

Its like these retards think mayweather should just stand there and let the guy hit him. you dont get to be 48-0 by standing there and letting some guy dummy you the entire fight. Blame Pacquiao for doing next to nothing the entire fight.

Well. I guess it was kind of Mayweathers fault though. At fault for being the better fighter anyway......

dlo 05-04-2015 01:57 PM

They just need to build the hype back up. Manny is already claiming shoulder problems.

RRxtar 05-04-2015 04:24 PM

I thought they would a fixed the fight to be closer or to have a controversial finish to ensure a rematch. As it stands now, Manny didn't show anything that would suggest the rematch would be any different.

Floyd says he wants another fight in the fall and then retire 49-0

threezero 05-04-2015 05:15 PM

Not a huge boxing fan. Watch the fight and although it was boring as fuck I have to say Mayweather'a technical brilliance is a clear win. As much as I want pacman to win Floyd out smart him... Just wish floyd isn't such a cocky asshole.

Doesn't matter though I guess with the way Floyd carries himself and his recklessness outside the ring I see him becoming Tyson no2 after he retires. Blow through all his money in under 5 years lol

multicartual 05-04-2015 05:44 PM

You guys actually think this was real?

Dudes, this was two bros putting on a performance for the audience and splitting 200 million.

Seriously, neither of them were even scratched. I've seen worse injuries on The Real Housewives of Atlanta!

pastarocket 05-04-2015 06:12 PM

Funniest meme ever about the fight: :lawl:

No doubt mayweather won the fight in the realm of boxing, but imo manny would demolish mayweather if this was a backyard boxing fight. Too much hugging everytime manny was getting ready to unload even though its fair to clinch.

he cant be tyson if even tyson himself hates him and calls him a pussy :gun:

why did manny put no to injured shoulders??????

oh man how the role reversed

neggo 05-04-2015 08:56 PM

^ Probably because he didn't want to jeopardize the fight. Apparently, his injury was bad enough that his sparring partners had to be sent home early since Manny couldn't train properly.

Regardless, even if Manny had 2 extra arms, I guarantee you Floyd would have found a way to nullify him and STILL win.

Manic! 05-04-2015 09:30 PM

People don't understand it's not about winning the fight it's about winning the round and conserving energy so you don't gas out . You do enough to win the round. You win enough rounds and you get the decision.

Yea i know but still, its for the safety of the fighters to be honest with this stuff.

I am not exactly sure if the Injury is legit or not,Weeks ago Pacquiao was playing B Ball and Punching NP

This mess is getting bigger and bigger, Manny should just go to Al haymon

It's official that its a torn rotator cuff.

Fighters will often hide injuries to ensure that they fight. It's nothing out of the ordinary, regardless of whether or not its for "their safety", ESPECIALLY when such a fight had so much hype behind it. Think about the backlash if the fight were postponed or cancelled.

There are always allegations, excuses, pointing fingers, etc...after fights, and its not really a "mess". It's normal to have buzz, especially after such prolific events. It'll all die down by next week. That's how the fight game is.

^For 200 million I would gladly fight floyd knowing that I would end up in the hospital

asahai69 05-05-2015 11:57 AM

Manny plodding around the ring like a dope and not doing anything, now comes out with an injury. Mayweather still at fault?

but...but...but...it wasn't an exciting fight because Mayweather wouldn't stand and let Manny punch his face in!!!

The decision isn't Mayweather's he has one more fight left in his contract.

Also even though he says he would be happy tying Rocky Marciano with a 49-0 record. I am pretty sure he will go for the 50-0. He's just going to wait forever to announce it so he can still sell his next fight as his last fight ever, and then make his 50th fight his triumphant finale as well.
