Not sure. I read that info on various websites. Wasn't just specific to the Limited but all GD STI's of that year. All years of the GD STI could be desirable for their own reasons.

2004: first year, lowest production numbers(I'm guessing) and the rawest of the bunch.
2005: Continued blob eye body but with updated interior(steering wheel, climate control, etc)
2006: Best engine(apparently), first year of hawkeye/pig nose, no air pump as per slowguy
2007: last year of the GD, only year a Limited was offer(800 produced in US only)

Looking back at when you were selling your 07 limited, I think it was priced well. Last price mentioned there was $23,500 http://www.revscene.net/forums/69519...106-800-a.html
and going by original hypa's comment 07 limited is the most sought after GD model, you'd expect it to be top dollar.

I too thought it was priced well. Had a couple looky loos but nothing concrete for a few months. I let it go for less than $23,500 because I needed to get rid of it(had a baby) but if I wasn't in that position I would've held on for the $23,500. The car couldn't be duplicated for that price anywhere in North America right now based on condition and mileage(it was minty mint). New owner is very happy and I'm glad it went to a good home. The wheels he picked are off the hook so I'm glad it's getting the treatment it deserves.

06' has no canbus either.
The good tuners have no issues with Canbus, but the older ecu was able to be tuned a lot more efficiency. I like the 07' transmission as it's better geared for drag racing.

That said, my 04' was a beast. It was purely raw, like white rocket said. It was a sideways fiend, not unlike a mustang or Camaro. Tail happy with easily controlled oversteer. The 06' has a smart diff and keeps you planted in the turns. Until I added the 20g with custom intake wheel. She spool so fast :D

Plastidip is pretty cool.
But Ontario and Quebec cars are worth 1/3 of what we get for them in BC. I sold our Golf in Montreal for almost 20% more than any other Golf for sale because it was a BC car and had no rust. Winters are nasty out east.
