And the new pilots updated design is like plain oatmeal...

Akinari 01-17-2020 04:29 PM

If you're looking at the Pilot, why not look at the Passport? The shortened and burlier proportions put some apple cinnamon in the oatmeal.

Other than the CTR Honda has absolutely nothing to offer me.

Anyways went with a 6 month old Ford Flex. 2019 Limited, awd with the 3.5TT and appearance package. Did not have the factory tow hitch. I think I will order the oem rear steel bumper crossbar with build in hitch over the aftermarket solutions, as the oem has 4x as many mounting bolts.

I think this is a fantastic way to NOT own a minivan

Congrats

I'm guessing you know this car is being discontinued? You just bought the final MY. They didn't sell very well overall so in that spec and final model year, it miiiiight be collectible? Automotive trends are weird.

I had one for 3 months when I was working up north. It was a white diamond colour and fully loaded. I nicknamed it the 'soap bar'. I was hauling stuff around from point to point while hauling ass with that ecoboost. Just had to watch the speedometer because of its soft ride (mine was a 2016).

320icar 01-18-2020 10:20 PM

Apparently ford would sell 20,000 flex’s a year, and 220,000 explorers. Just looked up the numbers and Yepp that is correct. The PO traded in this flex for an explorer actually. We have a full winter package on order and will be bringing it ice racing feb 1at

I also had a minivan when I was working. Took it all over the Interior and Okanagan :fullofwin:

Nice windy road got me to this location. Nothing sketch, only full control :accepted:

That's a hella huge hauler for one coming child bro ... you just set yourself up for the Mrs to have a whole hockey team with at least one of them being a goalie.

320icar 01-19-2020 09:52 AM

... have you not seen the things we do with my focus? We need some cubage

For those who are curious about Telluride/Palisade

I'm actually getting a Chrysler Pacifica later this year if anyone wants to check it out lmk! I'm thinking of comparing it to an SUV to test the functionality differences

Bumping an old thread. Seeing lots of 2018-19 Odyssey on 24-30 months lease return. Anyone on that boat?

Similar situation, though it's mainly for a Sienna. Everyone wants the new hybrids, so that's great news for me.

M Speed 06-10-2021 03:09 AM

Exactly...if some turning in their lease, we can talk.

I have joined the cult of Minivan.

Mostly for winter (if it ever gets here) and hauling.

It's really dirty but here's a teaser pic

Spoiler!

Crap photo but you get the idea,

I should mention that ICBC's revised used car sales tax rule only applies to vehicles NEWER than 2000.

Wow… they should make a game show like this. Show some obscure part of a car and you have to identify the make & model!

My first serious GF drove one of these vans, spent many an evening in the back seat(s)

Don't worry GS8, it was a white one, not dark green lol

Badhobz 10-14-2022 08:19 AM

I love vans. Good for hauling stuff, good for families and in a pinch, a good make shift bordello

bcrdukes 10-14-2022 12:27 PM

GS8 - How many cars do you have? I can't help but imagine you having an entire yard full of cars aka hoarding lol

68style 10-14-2022 02:38 PM

I think he sold some, he only has the Buick Regal and the Infiniti and this T&C?

I have 4 (68style mentioned all but the 94 Park Ave which is my least photographed).

However, after my dad's 07 Silverado's transmission lost 2nd gear, he was considering buying a new car. Keep in mind he's in his 70s, though still mentally and physically fit to continue driving.

Instead of letting him sink so much money into a new vehicle, I essentially gave him my Park Avenue as it's already winter equipped and FWD so he'll have no problem buying groceries and taking trips with my mom.

I'm also giving him the J30 for their garage as the car to take out during nicer days. Giving him 2 cars allows him to choose which one to drive, thus stimulating his aging mind and keeps him and my mom active. My parents are working class and never had hobbies so the car is important to them to keep exploring life in their retirement.

I've always been a sedan guy (almost bought that V8 SHO posted in the Good Buys Thread) but wanted either a tall wagon (was thinking Taurus X) or a minivan but it had to be an oddball. I can't say I've seen many second gen T&C's, let alone woody so I just picked that up to own alongside my Regal. I like always having at least 2 vehicles in case one breaks, I can keep going to work and having fun without worry of being stranded.

Long reply, but perspective is always nice!

the ultradrive tranny is a goldmine for mechanics

loved the occasional loud bang in reverse :lol

apparently Chrysler had a TSB/buyback

never in a million years did i think that and the astro awd would appreciate in value from van life
