Gotta say, pretty disappointed with the extinction of the monster NA 6.2L V8 and exterior lost its aggressiveness.
However, Chris Harris never fails to deliver us an awesome intro especially for the new C63!! Pretty sick Vid enjoy
..as one of the vid comment says "like before watching it. the usual"
Looks pretty nice. I've always liked the hot rod nature of the C63. Big engine stuffed into the smallest chassis. I don't mind that it's lost it's aggressive styling. Because sleeper.
My dad has an S63 V8 Bi-Turbo and it's pretty jerky to drive. You have to have it in manual mode to make it bearable. It's fast but definitely not quick at all. When you step on it it seems to take forever to get going. I'm quite disappointed in the car overall.
I find his facial expression driving the c63 compared to the m3 significantly different. Regardless of how great the Mercedes is on paper doesn't seem to me to deliver the same experience as the BMW.
On the CLA45, the quad tips aren't connected to the muffler. They are for show. The muffler exits just before the "tips" if that makes any sense.
I am guessing the new C63 will be the same.
Spoiler!

Interesting! I always get the sense that it's the transmissions that let the big power mercs down. I figure a 5.5L TT would spool relatively briskly?

From my experience with my A6 (Supercharged, not Turbo, but close enough) and my RS5 NA, the drive on the RS5 is more visceral and has a much faster throttle response.
It's a much better experience overall, thus for me personally, I prefer a naturally aspirated engine.
Granted, the mileage on a NA engine is very poor compared to a supercharged or turbo engine.

The trans always wants to put it in the next gear to save fuel. You can switch to S mode which improves it a bit but you realy need to be in manual mode to hold each gear respectively. Once it gets going it lays it down but getting there has been a real let down.
switch to sports+ and hit that amg button. should liven the beast up.

almost all new manufactuers are going this route. on the side note. there is an amg exhaust for the optional amg exhaust that is for the original amg exhaust for the CLA45...

The rumble of the car is gone as well as the instant respone. I can sit down in my old NA C63 and the giant V8 rumbles the whole car, not to mention the exhaust makes all my neighbours hate me.
Now if it was still the big 6.3 with a turbo on it, that i would not mind at all
Would you much rather have a 4.0L TT in your BRZ or a 6.2L that you can supercharge for 10 grand Jordan?
6.3's are going to climb in price shortly, so will the N/A BMW M cars... Its all going the same way as the aircooled Porsches are, they will probably never happen again.
