i wouldn't drop that amount for the performance each model has that is so minimal...33lb less weight?..what did they take the spare tire & sound deadening out put in a titanium exhaust system - 50 grand please.
guess the 4 liter NA engine with 500 bhp is not the highlight here. either that or you can't read.
Chris Harris said he'd be reviewing this around May. I'm interested in what his conclusion on the RS will be, but I'm assuming it will be rather similar to his conclusion on the base GT3. Great car, would be better with a manual.
I think Timpo is bang on. The GTR would keep up with the GT3RS while costing only a fraction of the money. Starting to think Porsche extracts every ounce of value they can out of their customers.
Hmmm for under 100k couldn't you get a new Corvette Z06 or whatever and have money left over for a boat?
on the paper.
even a 2007 gt3 RS will blow your mind.
Love the look, LOVE the interior....but
I would still take the new Z06 for 80k less.
And it comes in a manual! Even the auto shifts faster then the Porsche
I found these videos rather boring compare to Hot Version, Gunsai Touge, Best Motoring, etc. They should drive it up to the car's potential and give some real reviews. Chris Harris videos are quite boring too.

650hp/650tq
5 year 160,000km warranty
anyone considering a 991 GT3RS would not be interested in a Z06 and vice versa. They are both track rat cars but they appeal to completely different demos....just like GTRs.....

my modded 996 GT3 had approx. 300tq for 3000lbs and it pulled harder than my 400tq from my 4000lbs M3, especially at higher rpms and speed. The powerband is what makes the GT3 rock....your powerband is from 3000rpms to 8000rpm+

I think I want a 996 gt3 more than any of them, just based on the ugly duckling stigma and the attainability of it. Its 3/4 of a supercar for 1/4 the price.

^ the 996 GT3 is the only GT car that is still relatively affordable. I really regret selling mine, the thing was just awesome. Seeing the cars you like Westopher, you will luv luv the rawness and suppleness of the GT3. GT3s are miles ahead of M3s in all dynamic aspects, except comfort. The steering feel and chassis stiffness is awesome! You could daily drive a GT3 no problem. Also, at approx. $60k for 996 GT3, you will lose nothing when you sell it. I think 996 GT3s have hit the bottom of the price curve.

I agree the videos I posted are garbage, sadly they are the only option available at this time.
Having said that, let's be clear; Chris Harris videos are about 10x better than your shitty touge videos.
Trouble with buying a 996 GT3 will be how you feel every time a 997 GT3 drives by and you can't help but feel ashamed of your hipless 996 with rising dough form dash shapes.

I agree with your comments, 997.1 GT3 exterior looks so much better, and let's not even try to compare interiors but my wallet would thank me!
$60K for 996GT3
$100K+ for 997GT3.
In regards to performance, 997.1 GT3 is only marginally faster.
