What Helmet(s) do you have?

Just curious what helmet you're all using.

The first helmet I bought, and Icon Alliance. I never used this helmet, and still sits in the box.

My daily helmet, which i'm looking to upgrade soon is a Shoei X-11

I'v been awaiting this thread!

Shoei X12 Reverb

For obvious reasons =)

Very light but very loud... ear plugs are a requirement regardless of how short the ride is.

Actual riding: Shoei Qwest with Gold Iridium Visor

Starbucks setup: Licks NovDot with Davida Aviator Goggles (Silver Iridium Lens)

Much black. Next in the collection is either a Bell Bullitt in Retro Blue, Simpson M30 in Gloss Carbon or a Gloss Black Schuberth SR1. Pretty much whatever comes on sale first

i tried it once.... and theres a LOT of wind noise lol

its super light which is great, but i would not use it for riding again because
1) wind noise
2) scared of damaging that cf

I heard it was meant for automotive road racing and the helmets are designed to be used within a cabin in mind. They will not have as good of a seal around the eye port resulting in wind in your eyes at highway speeds on a motorcycle. For a hooligan helmet in the city you'll have a ball though however, I love the way they're styled. This was coming from my ex colleague who's now over at Honda Center.

Kchan please confirm, but that was his 2 cents. (Old man Ben)

i believe there are different versions of the bandit
some versions have more vent in the mouth earlier (mine doesnt) to help with fogging/defogging

i didnt have an issue with wind in my eyes

Also a really cool helmet. The ads with Rossi were pretty sick!

Shoei x12. I had an rf-1100 before but it got wreckt lol. unfortunately this helmet doesnt fit my sena speakers very well. Its also is a lot louder in highway speeds. However, its super light compared to my rf-1100 + keeps my head cooler. i love the art on it and the rear spoiler looks awesome (do i ever really push the need for it? probably not ). I usually wear earplugs on rides now.

The ventilation is going to be much more aggressive on the x12 compared to your 1100. The wind noise and lack of room for speakers is a necessary compromise when you start getting into flagship race helmets . This is Shoei's top of the line designed to be used primarily for one thing.

I love the Daijiro Kato design though, it was recently re-released as a commemoration.

The X12 is a great helmet for a warm day ... but you have to wear plugs or your hearing will start to suffer very, very quickly.
