Don't think the "current" Civic Type R is built to meet US federalization standards. However, the next gen Civic hatch will be N.American bound, so we might be getting that gen of CTR then.

Then again, even though the 300+ hp CTR wouldn't make it to our shores now, there is a chance that the engine (or something similar to it) would be heading our shores. Honda is spending a bunch of money to retro-fit their Ohio plant to product a family of turbo 4's, so we might just see something in the form of a Civic Si.

This car has been growing on me. I like the concept over the production model. I hope Spoon and Mugen make some goodies for this vehicle. Should be good

the ford focus ST cost in the mid 30's. which will be its closest rival.
i wouldn't be surprised if this cost near 40 or more.

The EURO CTR is speculated to cost around 45k with current exchange rates, at 31000 euros. Keeping in mind that in North America; we are getting a slightly toned down version with less horsepower and I would expect less goodies to make sure that it does not cannibalize any sales from other Honda products such as the Accord, i'd think it would likely be around 35k...BUT there are better options at this price point...a la...a wrx
