Holy shit, this Jan guy has been in the "self help" business for FIVE years? 
My goodness, that lip smacking that he does in the video is annoying.
This "dating coach" has questionable public speaking skills.
If this guy's students are learning techniques to pick up women and developing an attitude of harassing women, this guy deserves an epic fail.
He could use an image consultant to help him with that fucked up

Honestly, the appearance of the guy just screams "Level 99 Greaser" to me. And that makes me dislike him. Not to mention that he ironically appears to have serious interview/public speaking weaknesses despite his illusions of confidence.
Everyone bitches and complains about how women in Vancouver are so unfriendly. Maybe it is because they go after gold-diggers, sorostitutes, and club rats and ignores the cute girl at the bookstore that actually has something better to do on a Friday night. But that's another argument...
Maybe women are so unfriendly BECAUSE of guys like this? If I were a girl and were approached with aggressive tactics like that, I'd probably develop "resting bitch face" real quick. And the sad part is that "normal" guys who actually like women and value their company instead of treating them like a "conquest" are all painted with the same brush. Waaaah, all guys are the same, all girls are the same. Maybe if both sides stopped acting like idiots we'd get somewhere.
That being said, while the guy is a first-class douche nozzle who can't even string together a proper sentence let alone a valid argument, I gotta give him props for being a good businessman. Just goes to show that there are plenty of beta guys in Vancouver with enough money to burn on "classes" on picking up... honestly, I am no Casanova but I don't see why people try to make it into such a science. There are absolutely certain ways to attract women easier and I've used every trick in the book. It comes down to the type of person you are.
Nowadays, I can't even use online dating because of how disingenuous it is to window shop for a girl. Nothing is less organic and natural than browsing profiles where women have posted the one perfect photo of themselves, write a bunch of nonsense that generally isn't true, and the aspects of body language and context in meeting them does nothing to show their character through a monitor. What you allude to is establishing yourself in your caste with fitness and clothing that puts you closer to what your idea woman wants. I can understand your POV and it makes sense. Very close to the advice I give men now, too.
I say, if you want a woman that truly can be called your partner and equal, go out into the world and allow the meeting to happen. Do all the things you enjoy in life, do them with gusto, smile, flirt, allow the serendipitous meeting of your future love to occur; it will also be much more satisfying to "randomly" stumble across this person due to your own ability and charm.
Then if you want to keep her, show her your life and the people you affect; when those around you speak glowingly about you, the social concrete is poured to show there is a stable base around your life. You don't even have to do jack shit to impress her as the people she meets in your social circle will be enough to show her that you're a good person and worth her time. Indeed, this is where she really gets hooked on what you've got to offer.
The alternative is to just keep banging, partying, sending flirty texts, keeping girls in that shadowy realm of "dating" where both of your lives are pretty mysteries summed up in text box windows on social media, dressed up with the best photographs you/they post, and your meetings are designed to introduce your genitals while you still try and decipher what motivates the other person. You can do this for years in a relationship and never get to truly know someone until they drive the knife into your back.
TL;DR
Online dating kills serendipity and conditions you to see others as easily disposable

He's a douche, undoubtedly, but I think some people are probably envious that he's been able to make money by acting like a douche. On the other hand, he might be getting publicity now, but if he wants to transition to another industry, his name is pretty much ruined as the Internet never forgets.
