Accident at the ramp from Alderbridge to Knight Street North around 630-7pm

Anyone saw what happened to that WRX? It knocked down a lamp pole I think and got really banged up.

Hope the driver(and maybe the passengers) are OK.

So many people lose it on that curve, probably where the pavement changes as seen in this picture.

I think I saw a red impreza in that same ditch MANY years ago. Sometime around 2000 when all that Initial D and Ekin Cheung street race movie started to get popular....

the 2 joints/bumps at the beginning and end of the "bridge" part can make ur tires lose grip when u go fast enough, especially in the wet

lots of fun there at the bump, same with the mcgill onramp before the second narrows, if you step on the brakes = goodbye rear end

When i used to work for rusty's i picked up cars here pretty much every weekend. HaHa that pole must have been replaced a couple hundred times.

How much must you suck at driving to crash an AWD car that probably has traction control and ABS?

Even with worn out tires you'd have to be a complete retard

You gotta be going pretty fast through there to lose it (or have really crap tires) - on clear road, I cruise through there regularly at 80kph no problem even on rainy days.

They should just put the light poles on the other side of the road

One of them is/was always knocked over.

yeah I was puzzled why they didn't do that...there's no curb or guard rail so probably wouldn't take much speed to put yourself around one on a wet day with RWD and worn/summer tires

if you do go fast enough there, that bump does upset the car's overall balance a bit... and less contact patch for the tires when the car reacts to the bump.

that... or should've drove slower.

I drove around that bend at around 640pm and everything was fine, must have happened just after me.

Another bad onramp is the Nordel and Hwy 91 (to merge northbound onto the bridge). Go too fast on that tight curve and your backend can easily swing out due to the shitty pavement.
