i saw a $99 asus unlocked droid phone at costco last month but reviews said the phone shut down on it's own randomly :heckno:

Wow prices do look good.. $250~ for 16gb version, and $350~ for the 32gb version.

the zen 1 wasnt that great, hope this one could be better

Definitely a phone that has great hand feel.
so far, the only things that disappointed me are no free protective film and cover, 550 cannot upgrade NFC with back cover, speaker is tiny but loud enough, many ASUS Built-in software.

Can you test the battery life as screen on-time on auto brightness?
thinking of buying a 4GB version from Taiwan since it'll fetch a $100 premium here

I got my mom the 2gb/16gb 720p (Asia version), not bad compared with the other intel phones, it runs as good as my old note2 with 3000mah battery

I'd get the Alcatel Idol 3 5.5" over this. This phone has hype but reviews are poor.

Not worth it. G3 is a high end phone and this isn't. You will hate it lol. for some reason no matter how many phones I use, I always come back to Iphones......

Been reading reviews on this Zenfone 2, and the general consensus I seem to get is, the 4GB ram / 64GB storage model is a nice, fast phone. Battery life is a mixed bag of opinions, with some saying it last long enough, while others say it sucks, but battery charging is universally praised to be fast. Nearly all reviews say the phone isn't perfect, but they didn't expect perfection from such a well-priced phone. As far as bang for the buck goes, this one ranks quite high.

the 64bit intel atom benchmark is even slower than snapdragon 801. It's performance is on par with last year's HTC M8. Sure, it has the 4GB ram going for it, but according to reviews, only less than 2.3gb ram available at any instances. if u get cheap version, less than 1 gb ram available. tons of bloat software preinstalled. lack of developer support. shitty camera. 3000mah is small for the intel chipset power hog, battery life is not good perhaps similar to the i6. not to mention, it looks ugly, and feels bulky in the hand.

it's direct competitions are xiaomi mi4i, alcatel idol 3, huawei honor 6 plus (last year), letv le1.
