I got a used Xperia Z2 Bell phone from someone from craigslist 3 weeks ago. The IMEI was clear on Check the Status of Your Device in Canada | Protect Your Data. Protect Yourself.

However, my phone was not working (no network connection) since this morning, so after work I brought my phone to a Bell store and finally found out my phone IMEI was report to Protect Your Data. Protect Yourself., so my phone was blacklist and now is a $ 300 paper weight.

If you were me, what would you do ??

Learn my lesson and never buy a phone off craigslist again.

IMEI being clear at the time of purchase does not mean it will be clear later.

Your only option is to sell it on eBay.
