where can I buy yen with a better rate ?? Hello to all I will be travelling to Tokyo for 6 days 5 nights with my girl friend. How much cash of yen would you recommend to buy ? Also where can I get a better rate of yen (better rate than the bank) ? Please kindly advise. |
call ahead, the place beside T&T in richmond is good but you're in coquitlam. |
I use VBCE for all my f/x. Always a better rate than the bank. |
+1 to VCBE. Best to call ahead to see if they have in stock though. When it was 1:100, they ran out pretty quick. |
Depending on how much Yen you are purchasing, I found the best rate was at the currency exchanges located at Narita. Convert CAD travellers cheques into Yen for an even better rate. Once you are in Japan and if you run out of cash, remember that only ATMs located at Post Offices and 7/11 ATM machines will accept your Canadian card. Most of your purchases will be in cash. Japan doesn't use credit cards as much as we do. Pretty much the only time I used my credit card was for hotels. |
Try EverForex I got my RMB there for my trip a few weeks ago. Rates is good and location is good (right beside Metrotown like on the ground level of Metrotower 2). Welcome to Everforex - Foreign Currency Exchange|Online Currency Trading|FX Rates and Charts|Vancouver Richmond Burnaby Surrey |
thank you for all your suggestions. I got mine from VBCE today. |
