I love this phone, even with the lowest spec version, it's great.
Asus is updating its firmware almost every week and I can't wait until they release the 64bit lollipop version.

People complained about the camera quality, 2nd sim slot is 2G calling only, but hey, it's only $240cdn, can't ask for more.

I just bought the 4gb ram, 64gb storage for 337 USD. I can't wait!

good choice, people have run tests on the 64gb read/write speed is 2x faster than the 32gb

Where did you guys buy your phones? I just cracked my S5 and it's going to be 225 to fix. Considering getting one of these instead.

does this phone only run on 3G and not 4g LTE here?

Hey asian_XL (or others)

ASUS ZenFone 2 ZE551ML (4+32GB) ??? - ???? - ???? - ?? - ????? Price.com.hk

How come HK licenced ones are even cheaper than grey products? Who would buy the latter ones? Any difference?

asian_XL 08-02-2015 03:50 PM

That shop is known to be shady, you might search online.

Which store are you referring to?

I was commenting how in general - all stores sell HK the licenced Zenfone2 cheaper than grey market ones.

asian_XL 08-02-2015 07:47 PM

I see there is only one shop, Wang Gay, selling "water product" (grey market) more expensive than "Asus HK"???

There is no reason to buy "water product", people has been saying the HK Asus service center has a long lineup sending in faulty ZF2. By the way, I do not find any posting saying water products are better, so I can't help you on that.

There's more on the next few pages. And on the 16gb/64gb's page.

Thanks. Just as I thought. Normally water ones are cheaper....but this case was the opposite that's why I was wondering. Wow, long lineup of faulty ZF2's??

Can't decide to get this...or the G3. :considered:

asian_XL 08-03-2015 12:19 AM

if you live in HK and want to buy a G3 from a non-retailer, you better watch out, as many reported there are many used units (pretend to be new) from all over the world.
