No one was really there at the time but I bet there were tons of people there today as the weather is so nice! Here's some pics of a real life pokemon. Did Lindeman Lake about a month ago. The lake was nice but the hike was short and easy. Got to the lake in about 50 minutes. http://i.imgur.com/NEVOKUw.jpg http://i.imgur.com/CJmgMvj.jpg |

not much of a hike (took maybe an hour and a half) but was my first one in a sadly long time. went up to hicks lake and did the perimetre hike. very good for beginners as not much elevation. https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8868/1...9218dedc_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c2.staticflickr.com/8/7714/1...97a4a5c9_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7747/1...264b2afa_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8825/1...96ce33de_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c1.staticflickr.com/9/8761/1...199aa56d_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7661/1...6e45ef8a_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7793/1...ca7ebf84_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c4.staticflickr.com/8/7798/1...11645f43_c.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr https://c2.staticflickr.com/6/5460/1...7b0a1272_h.jpgUntitled by 320iCar, on Flickr |
Quarry rock was good as a casual hike...now i just find it's always crowded So far this year i've gone around in Belcarra and Minnekhada...i've got plans to head out to Golden Ears and Mount Gardner hopefully in June. Anyone ever gone to Mount Gardner? How was it? I'm hoping to do Crown Mountain by August. |
crown by august is pretty doable i think. never done it but it looks difficult lol |
Always see pictures of hikes from Quarry Rock on Instagram, how long does it take to get to the top? |
|
for the hikes that are out of the GVA, are there usually dogs allowed to be off leash? like lindeman lake and other ones further out thanks |

next saturday amateur hike anyone does let me know! |
^ do Dog mountain in mount seymour. its a simple hike with really nice view |
Done quite a few this year so far; Seymour, Dog Mountain, Quarry Rock, Chief 2x, Grouse Grind. Finally this past Monday did the Lions. Difficult hike for the most part, 9kms up with no real breaks, took a touch over 3 hours to get up and about 2:20 to get down. Hung out at the top for about an hour and had lunch. Definitely one of the most rewarding hikes around the Vancouver area but remember to pack enough water and give yourself plenty of time to get back down, not an easy trek tho for the average hiker http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...psmforoy3h.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...psebpqlbzk.jpg http://i1294.photobucket.com/albums/...psszq5ecme.jpg and a wicked 360* panoramic shot I got Spoiler! |
did loads of hikig last yr but almost none so far this yr. looking for a few overnights, anyone interested? |
im down if its a sunday night to monday morning ^ ice caves and beckler peak(5000feet elevation, even encountered a bear as big a hatchback civic) in washington, it was a far drive from vancouver and + you have to hike for hours... but definitely a very worthy hike for killing those calves haha http://s22.postimg.org/oycoyw4ht/201...4_21_06_39.jpg http://s18.postimg.org/5phou9y3d/201...5_16_45_39.jpg |
