Samsung S4, S5, Note 3, S6 - lockscreen bug
 

so far, I've seen this occur on all of the Samsung phone variances as per the subject...anyone else seen this?

The digits on the lock screen get covered up by these glitchy squares.

Sometimes, the glitchy squares appear on the drop down top menu as well.

It doesn't matter if you're rooted or not, it still happens and it also doesn't matter which wallpaper you use...stock Samsung or your own.

Never had that happen on my S4 (knock on wood).

Have you tried wiping your phone and reinstall (forgot the actual word lol)?

Never seen this on my S4 mini, presumably an issue with one of the font packs?

I see this happen in the S5 forums all the time.

I heard many people complain about this on their devices AFTER the lolipop update.

so far so good with my \s6

Don't have that on my Note4, BUT, my Waze app has the exact same problem, the graphics are all corrupted.

Ice had this a few times. When I get drops of water on the screen and dropped mah phone

I see this a lot on coworkers s4's recently but I use the fingerprint unlock on the s6 and haven't seen anything like it.

I had that on my S4 right after updating to Lollipop. Rebooted 2x after and it went away. I use pattern lock normally. Just swapped over to PIN lock and tested again. I get all the numbers and letters showing up ok.

the issue occurs completely randomly...

yes, a reboot will fix it...it will occur again eventually.

anyways, for my Note 3..i disabled 'power saving mode' and kept it on full power and this hasn't happened in a week... not sure if this is the solution but hopefully I wont see this again.

I've seen this happen a couple times on our work phones. So far none of our S6's have encountered this problem. A reboot fixes for everyone so far.
