Anyone thinking of coming up be sure to check DriveBC for construction delays, the Coq has construction near the summit that's been causing some ~1hr delays. If you have a little extra time and enjoy driving I suggest taking the Hope-Princeton (1 or 7 to Hope, 3 to Princeton, 5A up to 97C). It's some slightly different scenery and takes about 30-45 mins more but is a lot more fun than the Coq imo.

Osoyoos is 2 hours from Kelowna, you can check the maps
Interactive Maps - BC Wildfire Service - Ministry of Forests, Lands and Natural Resource Operations - Province of British Columbia but the nearest significant fires are 2 hrs from Kelowna and an hour from Summerland.
