This has/is competing in the LeMans 24hr. It did rather well in fact.
As for being R36 test vehicle, I dont think that is the case. Its an LMP1 class car in the FIA WEC so its a tech vehicle. May use some features of it in some way, but far from being a production testing vehicle.
i know race tracks r flat n all, but thats like only 1 inch of suspension travel?!

While I'm not rooting for any particular team or manufacturer, it's a real shame for Nissan, really. They came up with 3 cars and couldn't pull through. I was really hoping to see at least Nissan put up a fight with at least Toyota, seeing they are/were the only defacto Japanese manufacturer to take part in the series.

Nissan still have 2 out of 3 cars still in the race.. for their first time out it is not that bad.. the 919 had issues during their first year too.

It was expected that Nissan would not do well with this car. There was talk about this LMP1 not being properly finished and that the intend on having it a 4wd hybrid setup on the car come next season.
Last season Toyota destroyed everyone but Audio came back with a vengeance and Porsche sorted out there 919 making for an interesting race in the LMP1 lineup. Sad to see fewer LMP2 cars every year. I enjoyed that catagory as well as the GT3 stuff.
The Blancpain GT series is always fun to watch too. It's like GT3 racing with NASCAR contact. That and the Tudor series.
