Unless you are doing some SERIOUS track driving, or use your brakes to the point where heat dissipation of a stock blank is surpassed, there is no reason to use a slotted or drilled rotor other than for a look.
actually, somebody said that drilled holes keep rotors clean from brake dusts too..

That's because those are carbon ceramics. Has nothing to do with modernity...

Ferodo DS2500 is a very good trackable street pad. Fantastic initial bite as well as sustained brake torque during extended use. I still overwhelmingly prefer the modulation feel of Carbotech 1521 over the Ferodo, but that preference is definitely an acquired taste.

The DS2500 dust like crazy though. So keep that in mind. But hey, unlike the Hawk HPS, at least you are getting some good braking performance out of them!

They stop fast, turn your wheels black and make everyone at every intersection think you are driving a bus until they look at you.
I like to stop fast.

Also carbon ceramic...

Anyone have any experience with EBC Green Stuff? Have heard good things about them for heavier vehicles (reduced dust, good bite) for everyday street use. Will probably switch to them whenever my current pads need changing.

Never used the green stuff but the yellows worked really well on my pathfinder; stopped way better than OEM. I had drums in the back as well.

Really happy with DS2500. So far, can only comment on street and autocross driving. Good bite, dust is less than I thought (might have something to do with the stock FRS wheels being a darker color). It does squeal but it's not so bad like Hawk HP+. Paired with OEM rotors.
