Lucic for Edler leaves a massive hole in the D. If Bieksa goes too, that means we've got a Hamhuis/Tanev top pairing and STILL NO FUCKING PUCK MOVING DEFENSEMAN. I don't see how moving Edler make sense if the deal just brings back more salary.

I don't see that trade happening. If it does, JB will have to bring in a serious #1 defenseman, a puck mover that plays with Tanev.

Not a huge Lucic fan myself, but damn would he be a beast in front along side the twins..not to mention he's the heavy weight we haven't had in a long time...

I think Lucic coming to Vancouver would be good for him a personal level.

I know Canucks fans hated him because he was a Bruin, and that spilled over to him getting into altercations here and disliking the Canucks fans back... but that can all be swept under the rug if he comes and plays for the Canucks.

I mean, Vancouver is his hometown after all, where he was born and raised. With him already having a legacy with the Giants, only makes sense to go all the way and play for the Canucks and get the hometown fans back on your side.

He's got way too many miles on him to trade Edler for him.
