if anything its pathetic PK... our PP has actually stepped up huge in the last handful of games..

^^stepped huge my ass...yeah the pk does suck but the pp could have won them the game tonight and on many nights the pp either makes or breaks this team! And that's why their record over all is fucking garbage! This team will be .500 team all yeah still not shitty enough to get a top 5 pick

man, the canucks were tired and as a result, sloppy, last night.

so many chances that just didn't get buried. I'd say it wasn't lack of effort, just poor execution. had vrbata scored on that penalty shot, or burr lifted that puck rather than sliding it into cory....

hell, they should have given the devils the damn puck when there was a delayed penalty in the last two minutes to extend that 6 on 4 PP time... they just weren't thinking straight last night. sigh.

ya i would think in the last handful of games the pp has stepped up huge. I wasnt referring to the whole year so far, where the pp has been HORRENDOUS.

Canucks have given up the 6th most goals in the league...

The goalies are playing poorly but the defense from the games I have watched are playing like a sieve.

There are multiple problems with the team now:

1) Team Defense: The D-man coverage in front of our net is bad. For example, take Edler's play vs. Jersey last night. Turnovers from Pizza man Sbisa hurt this team big time. The team lacks a true no. 1 defenceman who can defend the front of the net well with hard physical play.

2) Special teams: The power play and the PK need so much work. The set plays are quite predictable. Again, we have no forward who can provide the physical presence in front of the opposing goalie's net to screen the goalie or score on rebounds. The PK also needs improvement.

3) Lack of Offensive depth: Vrbata isn't providing secondary scoring consistently in order to support the Sedins. I see no consistent offensive production from the second line.

Tanev, sometimes Edler, and sometimes Hamhuis are our only good

Hutton started off well, but has been trending down as his role has increased.

Bartkowski is fucking garbage and Weber has been a complete liability this season (not that he ever wasn't, just far moreso this season than last).

Sbisa had a decent set of games before his injury, but overall, meh.

Sbisa's our toughest dman right now, he was a beast in the Jersey game last night and the diff between him being around and not being around in the Jets game was like night and day.

You guys are way too harsh on him, he's improved immensely.

Bartkowski deserves all the criticism nowadays holy fuck he's terrible but somehow he plays every single night!

Man, the light at the end of the tunnel with this team right now is barely a pin head lol..hard to get excited. Chicago came was great but usually games against the Hawks are.
