Are you kidding? No matter how much money you have paid or what your job is, you always want to go out on your own terms, not due to a debilitating medical condition. I feel like people always look at entertainers or sports stars and think whatever, they got their money. It's a job and a life, just like yours.

True, but at the same time, any physically-demanding career, such as pro sports, is going to have a large percentage of individuals who are forced out due to physical breakdowns, medical conditions, etc. Just the nature of the beast.

Very few Gordie Howes, Teemu Selannes, Nick Lidstroms, and Jaromir Jagrs in the sport of hockey.
