I think Higgins is okay, but he has a bigger role than he should have because this team is grossly mismanaged.

My biggest concern with the team is that the team's direction and WD's direction doesn't match.
WD is doing everything he can within his powers to get the team into the playoffs while the team's real focus is developing the kids, and getting more picks.
What good is picking up veterans via trades/waiver and pushing the kids down to Utica or back to juniors.
And they really need to sit down with Jensen and figure out what they are going to do with him as he is rotting away doing next to nothing in Utica.

Unless Jensen reinvents his game he's a bust.

I think you mean the direction of what fans want vs. What the owners/WD want. Like someone else mentioned before, I don't think aquaman can stomach consecutive years of non playoff revenue.

He's good on the boards/cycle. Also, he put up 36 points last year, which is pretty good for $2.5M.

This year, however, he's been a train wreck. He was playing over his head last season, but still managed to produce. This year, he's not producing but still getting 14 minutes/night with PP and PK duties. A 10-point player should be on the 4th line, not bouncing between the 2nd and 3rd lines with PP and PK duties.

Waiving him at this point doesn't do us much good, IMO. Buyout obviously can't happen until the summer. Definitely wouldn't be opposed to buying him out if we can't move him. $2.5M for a 33-year-old (next season) currently on pace for 10 points almost halfway through the season isn't good roster management.
