Yeah....the swedes are pretty stacked too.
Didn't realize Alex Nylander is William's brother
Lol Virtanens face when the Finns scored
I'm pretty sure he's going back to junior after this tourney

That'd be the best move
His confidence is pretty fragile and he'd just get wrecked coming back to a shitty Canucks team.
Better off picking up his game and confidence with a good Hittmen team.

Nah man....the first 10 game just burns the first year of his ELC. He can still be sent back anytime

40 burns year off UFA status (roughly, don't have CBA readily available at work)
Can be sent to juniors at any point in season, but most teams usually keep the player up after the 40-game mark.

Damn...Matthews has been killing it all tourney.
The guys carrying US's offence singlehandedly at times.

Wow...First they fuck up Mackenzie Stewart's career for no apparent reason now looks like they'll move into bigger things and try to take a sledgehammer to Virt's development.

As a 19 year old with some NHL expose/experience, Virtanen should have been carrying the play having experienced the faster paced NHL play and being more physically mature as a 19 year old, but nope, he was the one who looked to be a step behind everything in terms of making smart or even the simple decisions with the puck or the play. Extremely underwhelming tourney for him to say the least.

I think he was a step behind because he hasn't been playing much and the zero confidence isn't helping either. WD is killing this kid it seems.

But man...top 5 picks in this years draft is going to be pretty solid.
Matthews, Tkachuck, Laine, Pulvarri (sp), Nylander....

Super skills was ok it's always a bit lame but Kenins made some entertaining breakaway moves that were memorable and Pedan shot a 102 for hardest shot, he also beat Hansen to take fastest skater too! Excited about his future with us.
Alumni game was fun to watch -- Ronning and Lumme are still so slick.

I went to Super Skills and it was decent and mildly entertaining as per usual.
The ducks game last night however had a flying puck come up into the stands and almost nail us in the face. Thankful for the boyfriends quick reflexes to deflect it into the stairway. Unfortunately someone picked up the puck and gave it to a kid before we could get it back to keep as a funny story souvenir. :P

This is on the coach. They lacked discipline and Dal Colle and Chychrun should have been on the team.

Pedan is a faster skater than Hansen?
And a hard shot to boot?
No wonder he's not in the tank roster

You could tell in the LA game he unloaded that shot from centre ice on Quick, besides looking super hard, you could hear the "whomp" when it hit Quick even through the TV lol
