Pedan should be playing over garbage guys like Weber and bartkowski! Start using him more like biega! Hopefully biega re signs and those other two duds don't! Pedan will and should be a sold 5th or 6th guy! Will atleast help sbisa with fighting on the back end!

I'm suprised Luca Sbisa has a 9-4-2 records in NHL fights according to hockeyfights.com.
I'd like to see Pedan in more. He's big and he has the tools we need. He's a bit rough around the edges but that's what coaching and experience are for.

Without reading it, I don't think the article would be related to his effort. It was the stupid penalties he took game after game which lead to PP goals against. Was frustrating to watch, for me at least.

-so easy for the media to choose a player as the scapegoat for the Team Canada losing to Finns. Yes, Virtanen did take penalties in the game vs Finland which result in power power goals given up.
What the damn reporters don't realize is that team Canada was never firing on all cylinders throughout the tournament.
If you wanna put blame for the team losing in the quarterfinals to Finland, BLAME THE ENTIRE TEAM AND THE COACHING STAFF. You win and lose games as a team.
Botchford takes the easy route and blames Virtanen instead. I bet this idiot never played one ice hockey game in his life!

Should ask Botchford how he'd feel being plastered all over the front of a newspaper at 19 years old being called the reason something went wrong...... I hope this comes back to bite his ass in the form of getting cut off from Canucks coverage, such a dick move... what an asshole.
I mean come on, the whole team sucked... and if those 2 goalies are the best goalies Canada has to offer right now, we've got a whole lot of problems.

Bad D and goaltending
The kid is only 19 years old, for God’s sake. He is a local boy who plays for the Canucks. Yes, he took some bad penalties that he would like to have back (and they weren’t all the greatest of calls) but to single him out in a splashy headline as responsible for the team’s loss, in an effort to sell a few extra copies of your second-rate paper, is disgusting.
Canada lost primarily because of its porous defence and weak goaltending. At least Botch’s column provided some balance.

I suppose this is true of most media reporting these days. Doom, gloom etc. A little optimism and encouragement would go a long way. After all, aren’t we hoping that he will be one of our next great players? How can that happen with back pages like that? Disgusting!
