Actually, today was the season ticket holders signature day and town hall meeting. I went to last year's town hall meeting and it was where season ticket holders were allowed to ask TL and JB any questions they wanted. I bet TL told everyone at the meeting that the team is on the right track by going with this youth movement. Plus Sbisa and Sutter are scheduled to follow the team on the road trip so at some point, with the addition of Etem, they were going to be over on the allowed number of players. What will really be interesting is when Hamhuis comes back. Who will be the odd Dman out. For Hamhuis, he is scheduled to be back in a month away, which should be before the trade deadline. Will he be on the trading blocks? Someone else on D? Or put Biega on waivers and send him back to Utica? I doubt the last scenario seeing how well he is playing. Send Hutton back to Utica? Do they have to clear him on waivers to send him to Utica? |
Higgins won't be missed, he wasn't even good enough to be on the 4th line. |
Could see Hammer on the trading block |
Hamhuis and Vrbata trades for 1st and 2nd rounders plz |

For forwards, the only guys that i can see them trading is Prust, Vrbata, Burrows and Cracknall. Cracknall maybe less likely as they really should carry a bigger bodied guy that can play C or wing in case the team makes the playoffs. Prust is on a 1 year deal so if we don't hear anything about re-signing him, then I can see him gone either at the trade deadline or at the end of the year. Vrbata I can see being traded for a 1st round pick. I'd do it in a heart beat if a team is looking for a sniper to help get them over that hump in the playoffs. Burrow's contract may be too big for anyone to take a chance on. So even if he is on the trading blocks, maybe no one will take the gamble on him. |
So Higgins said that he will work with the Canucks to find a Suitor for him and he didn't request the trade. |

don't think I've seen a team send out an official statement that a player is being moved publicly like Higgins' situation at the moment |

3 points in 25 games 33 years old in June Signed next year for $2.5M No trade clause Higgins: 3 points in 351 minutes (1 point per 117 minutes) John Scott: 1 point in 69 minutes (1 point per 69 minutes) Honestly, if the Canucks can get someone to take him while retaining half his salary for literally anything besides a cap dump back, I'd be surprised. |

Basically says we're going to spend 1.5m for a 6th round pick to free up a roster spot |
