Tampa Bay Lightning forward Jonathan Drouin has been suspended indefinitely without pay by the team after his failure to report for tonight’s game between the Syracuse Crunch and the Toronto Marlies, vice president and general manager Steve Yzerman announced this evening. The team will make no further comment at this time.
| Hell of a talent, but I don't know if this guy is making good decisions here.

Definite red flags when you're on an EL and requesting trades.

Another case of a high draft pick that hasn't proven anything making demands he really shouldn't. Shut up and prove you can play.
That agent sounds like a douche.

That agent sounds like a douche. | Isn't that the point of having an agent? |

The whole point of ELCs and RFAs was so players pay their dues before they earn more money and rights (to prevent what was happening in the NFL, where rookies were making ridiculous demands before they ever played a pro game).
Doesn't sound like Drouin wants to pay his dues

theres likely some shit going on behind the scenes that we don't know about.
im also getting the feeling that yzerman is a tough guy to work with.

Not sure what to make of Drouin or what the cost will be at this point.
Gonna be a high risk high reward for his next team. If they gamble on him and give him the time of day he wants and it pays off, they've got a bonafide superstar in the making.

Don't get how these trade demands work for rookies.... so suppose Tampa decides not to trade him and he continues not reporting to AHL, then he won't have honoured a year of his ELC and it gets extended another year? Or does the ELC expire regardless of whether he plays or not?

Not sure if that changed in 2013.

i think the reason drouin refused to play the AHL game was because his agent told him not to play and because maybe they had a deal in place and he didnt want to risk getting injured my 2cents...

I can almost guarantee he ends up back in MTL.

Drouin was only on the roster for 37-38 games this year. That means it won't count towards his UFA count if he continues to be suspended. Stevie Y has all the leverage.

Everyone saying that prust is done as a Canuck after that ranger game
So essentially for Hodgson we got nothing
Really hope a sober Kas lights it up in Edmonton to show scared Linden he made a huge mistake and got peanuts in return

Kid is dumb as shit too. How many fucking games have you played? How many goals scored?
One highlight reel goal doesn't mean you're a top 6 foward on an NHL team.
Same shit with coho...omg...that slap shot goal against the Bruins!!! look at that!!! That shit I keep hearing on 1040 back then..look at him now. lol

He is too slow to play decent minutes in this league.
Really, his only job in this league is to fight and even then he didn't fight Shawn Thornton that night so what good is he?
