with Hammer it all depends if there's a bidding war for him, he's the top D man for sure and if two teams go at it you don't know truly what we could land for him. I would be happy with a 2nd round pick and a legit prospect for him.

Especially with Hamhuis missing almost half the season and Vrbatas down season, doesn't exactly boost either players value
Set your expectations low cause you're going to be seriously disappointed at the return either of them get (if they even get traded that is).

there's something about Vancouver and its inability to make good trades or even make trades in general (or draft choices) at least in recent history, when was the last time we actually "won" a trade?
i think that's got everything to do with ownership having some sort of veto on any trades

There are probably a ton of people telling him to go, because it makes business sense for him. The interesting one for me is Hansen. Teams are willing to pay a bit more for term. But, at some point, you have to have good pros on your roster, especially around young players.
