and he couldn't be happier since he's from Calgary and he was pissed off the Flames didn't draft him

I say that some of JB's decisions on player personnel are bad ones. (see bold)

6. Hiring John Weisbrod
7. Hiring his own son, a security guard at Nordstroms, as a scout (???)
8. Trading Gustav Forsling for Adam Clendening - discovering a few months later he doesn't have NHL skating
9. Derek Dorsett Contract
10. Luca Sbisa Contract
11. Eddie Lack trade
12. Zack Kassian trade
13. Firing competent personal with dissenting view points: Gilman, Henning, Crawford
14. Firing the long time and highly respected head athletic trainer Mike Burnstein
15. Giving Linden Vey a raise rather than just qualifying him because...?
16. Letting Richardson and Matthias walk for nothing

17. Prioritizing Matt Bartkowski as the only addition to our blueline in the summer
18. Giving Mackenzie Stewart a pro contract
19. Brandon Sutter trade
20. Brandon Sutter contract extension
21. Losing Frank Corrado on waivers when he could have been kept by putting Higgins on IR, overlooking his poor training camp was due to battling through injuries
22. Hunter Shinkaruk for Markus Granlund

nah 02-23-2016 08:26 AM

That Forsling one is going to come back and hurt alot!

6o4__boi 02-23-2016 08:27 AM

has JB actually done anything good in his short time here? lol

Expresso 02-23-2016 08:29 AM

Clendening has been traded twice and waived since then.

Tim Budong 02-23-2016 08:33 AM

clendening is with the oilers now i think...

Mccan and Brock I'm thinking but that list isn't a big one

Sounds like McCann could be in a package with other prospects (Gaunce) for Drouin

Reports are Chicago hasn't been scouting vrbata, are after Hansen. Possible deal around Pokka

Would you guys consider Baertschi a good move from JB?
What about signing Miller?

murd0c 02-23-2016 08:45 AM

Baer yes was a good move and Miller no since we should of kept Lack

murd0c 02-23-2016 08:47 AM

That would be awesome if we unloaded Hansen since his market value is so high right now

Mike Oxbig 02-23-2016 08:47 AM

Mccann + Gauce + Granlund for Drouin?

OK!

Nabatron 02-23-2016 08:56 AM

^it would have to be mccann, gaunce, and a first...but i was listening to 1040 yesterday and lebrun said tbay would have to send money back and couldnt pick up money in a trade for drouin since they are right to the cap and need to resign alot of guys...

so it would have to be a trade for prospects and a first and van would recieve drouin and a shit contract back like matt carle...

You know what, I can see something like that happening.
Maybe DimJim isn't that bad.

I think ownership is putting the pressure on them to win NOW and the only way to do that and stay competitive in a few years is to trade away some of the young young kids for players that are 23-25ish so that they will be hitting their prime in 3-4 years when the twins are no longer part of the team.

I can see them trading away Hansen now that he is a 19 goal scorer for $2.5M per season.

So, trade Hansen this season for a 1st round pick.
Trade McCann + Gaunce + ??? for someone who is can score and is 23-25ish.

Tim Budong 02-23-2016 09:00 AM

Eddie Lack played well under our goalie coach who made sure he used his size well... plus the defence was slightly better....

slightly...

murd0c 02-23-2016 09:01 AM

No way could Benning Give up a first in this years draft but saying that I'm sure he would since he's making that playoff push and all..

Tim Budong 02-23-2016 09:05 AM

thou shall not speak of trading that 1st round of 2016...
don't jinx it...

hahahaha

highfive 02-23-2016 09:36 AM

Am I missing something? I don't get why Drouin's value is so high? What has he accomplished so far? And trading McCann + Gaunce for him?

pastarocket 02-23-2016 09:36 AM

If Dim Jim can get Pokka and a 2nd round draft pick for Hansen, would the Blackhawks blink at that deal? :considered:
