So Canucks are sellers this deadline and couldn't manage to move 1 player to get any assets back, but instead spent part of the deadline apparently contacting Carolina about Jordan Staal? hahaha wow, Benning, Linden and Aquaman, wtf.
Kyperos reporting that Hamhuis was ok with a trade but Benning ended up not going through on the deal.

I just don't understand their reasoning for not dumping them for ANYTHING
You could dump Vrbata and Hamhuis for 2x 5th round picks and I'd be happy because at least you're getting SOMETHING for nothing. The Canucks are nowhere near winning the cup and it's in their best interest to lose as much as possible down the stretch so they can get a better draft pick.
Everything about this just infuriates me
