probably making some roster space for next year.
but yeah, it pretty surprising since his contract wasn't bad, and could probably have had suitors as a rental come trade deadline

Biega re-signed. Terms undisclosed. Move over Bieksa.

domco 06-30-2015 09:54 AM

5.75M per for Dougie Hamilton

CRS 06-30-2015 09:56 AM

Great terms.

Well done, Flames.

Jmac 06-30-2015 09:56 AM

Boston offered 6 x $5.5M before trading him. He must've really hated Boston.

dbaz 06-30-2015 10:02 AM

wonder if wash will go all in for semen. they liked him once, prob want another taste..

:troll:

also reports are vey's top two goals for offseason are to increase his strength and speed. might be promising

Boyes, Vrbata, Bonino, Burrows.

We are set for shootouts!

Calgary and Toronto in on Franson

How much cap space does Calgary fucking have...Jesus that D-corp is already fucking stacked.

Stop it Calgary. Stop making us look so fucking inept.

radioman 06-30-2015 10:14 AM

According to NHL numbers they have about 16 mil.

They might be a little screwed next year when they need to sign gaudreau/monohan/giordano/hudler/ and a few more.

we have a lot of puck bags as UFA's next year, so we should be plenty fine...really depends on giordanos contract

We are saying goodbye to diaz, schlemko, and potter this year.

and i believe we are gonna say goodbye to david jones next year.

Also, there are rumblings that engelland(3mill) or wideman(5mill) might be on trade block

Mike Oxbig 06-30-2015 10:27 AM

Why is the Canucks trying to us that we're gonna make the playoffs?

Being the shittest team for 1 year unloads the bandwagoner but with high draft pick it can anchor our franchise for a long time.

God damn it, if only we won the cup back in 2010... All we can do now is having our outside voice say fuck you and our inside voice say sigh you are right now just shut up lol

I can't believe Boston traded him away over a difference of 1.5 million over 6 years.

apparently Hamilton turned down the 6 year 33M offer and was asking for 7.5M from Boston

Vancouver Canucks the type of franchise that likes to sneak into the playoffs every year.

Tegra_Devil 06-30-2015 11:06 AM

This is how id like to see our defensive lines:

Giordano-Brodie
Russell-Hamilton
Franson -(rookie wotherspoon or morrison) or wideman(if i have to)

then offer sheet tarasekno and hoffman :troll:

highfive 06-30-2015 11:09 AM

Calgary Flames can easily be the Avs of last season.

Strong D group but can you really ride the entire season with Monahan, 18 year old Bennett, Stajan, and Colborne as your centres?

The canucks might have some issues losing Matthias and Richardson.

Henrik, Bonino, and Horvat might not be enough to get into the playoffs.

I don't mind seeing the Canucks lose next season. Gives Benning the green light to flip all our UFAs on the trade deadline. Vrbata, Bieksa, and Hamhuis.

I think you can easily get at least two 1st round picks and a 2nd round pick out of it.

Expresso 06-30-2015 11:44 AM

AVs don't have the defense.

Jesus man at least be realistic, you think your going to get Franson to sign knowing he is getting bottom 2 minutes..

MR_BIGGS 06-30-2015 11:52 AM

With three on three won't need a shootout guy.
