watching the pens and caps game right now. WOW two nice goals from Bonino and Malkin. 57 seconds between them.

We should've kept him because he was a great goalie that costs less than our current f'n goalie. Not really a knock on Miller since he played decent in his two seasons but I can't be the only one that thinks Lu's $5.3m is pretty reasonable now.

Didn't lu wanted out?
He wanted out the moment Schneider started the 3rd game of the Kings series back in 2012. We were down 2-0 and av started Schneider instead. Lu at the end of the playoffs talked about trade.
That was when his Twitter account surfaced and people saw a different side of him. I was pretty pissed about how he handled it. He basically rolled over and be like ok give Schneider the starting role. He didn't even thought about working through the summer and coming back to compete. Where's the competitiveness?

Lu's 5.3 was reasonable the day we signed Miller for 6

I'm still not sure why they gave up on Lu in that Kings series. He played well despite the losses. Throwing an inexperienced Schneider in at that point in the series was an incredible and unnecessary gamble.

rumour has it he's got the Flyers at the top of his list because of his connection with their head coach

Not necessarily giving up on anything at all. Team gave up 8g in first 2 games, after lu got the choke label from the cup run the season before. Team gave up 4g in the following 3 games... So the problem was?
I agree lu should have just been the good soldier and competed for the starting job the following season instead of being butt hurt--current lu probably would. But he was a bit of a weird guy back then

He also beat Demko in the frozen 4 semis so there's another goalie controversy for you lol

Surprised the Sportsnet NHL draft lottery coverage hasn't started yet, like the huge deal they make trade deadline into.
