Has the Canucks signed Baertschi to a deal yet? I can't remember lol. |
not yet I'm thinking is wanting more term then money...I'm assuming JB is offering a one year deal like every other player he has resigned or signed... |
GMJB loading up on 1 year deals so he can make a roster overhaul next season. |
From what I've read, the Canucks want to do a 1-year deal, Baertschi's camp wants a 2-3 year deal. I'm guessing it's likely going to be a 2-year bridge deal in the $1M/season area. He doesn't have arbitration rights, but he is an unsigned RFA who can play in Switzerland next season for a good chunk of change, which gives him leverage. I don't believe he's seriously considering playing in Europe next season as he's basically going to spend the entire offseason training in Vancouver under the guidance of the Canucks' training staff. |
Expansion bid deadline passed half an hour ago, looks like the only 2 bids were from Las Vegas and Quebec City. No bid from Seattle. |

Not sure how much more it would cost them. |
Seattle keeps hoping they can get a basketball team instead of a hockey team but that's just not realistic. I don't think the NBA is looking at expansion, are they? |

I don't follow the NBA much considering I hate the NBA with a fiery passion, but from what I understand, the new CBA has done wonders for profitability and team valuations. Of course, the NBA has also moved more teams in the past 15 years than all the other major leagues in North America combined and their CBA expires in 2 years, so I'm not sure how much stock I'd put into that stability. |
I don't think Seattle is getting a NBA team soon, considering they've gotten screwed over twice in the last few years (Kings relocation and recent bid for expansion). They threw so much money around at their recent bid that the NBA still didn't care to grant them a team. If Seattle has any self-respect for themselves, they should stop bidding and tell them to F off. The NBA needs Seattle more than the other way around. |

How about Hank telling a Swedish newspaper today that they would be ok if they were traded.... I don't have a link but they have been talking all about it on 1040 this morning |
which team would they go? Islanders looks like a team that needs secondary scoring |
Only other jersey I see the Sedins wearing is a Detroit jersey. It's like the Swedish retirement home. |
probably taken out of context lol, I don't see them getting traded. it's been slow going in terms of news. I'm surprised Franson isn't signed...i guess he'll be taking a PTO at this rate. i'd be down to sign Semin if he's willing to sign a league min two way contract haha but really Canucks should be focusing on getting Baertschi signed before anything. |
Has anyone signed Mike Santorelli? |
nope, not signed yet either. probably pto bound come September. |
^dont think so...really wish canucks would re-sign him he is a way better option then vey on the 4th line... |
Why would any team sign the sedins for a cup run? Lol |
Don Sweeney probably would :troll: |
