that was some Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon type of shit
lol...somehow I don't think he'll get more than 2
He's only been suspended once iirc...this guy gets away with so much shit you'd think he must be favored

sonick 10-08-2015 07:22 AM

Anybody notice sometime in the 2nd I think, Hutton made this really sick between-the-legs move in the defensive corner to evade a forechecker, then made a neat outlet pass to the middle (luckily no Flames in the area it was a risky pass). Can't find a gif as it was a pretty minor play, but really shows the skill and confidence of the kid.

68style 10-08-2015 07:50 AM

I don't get why big bad Lucic always gets his big ass nose so out of joint anytime someone touches him... I mean, you can't take a little hipcheck from Logan Couture? Bitch please.

6o4__boi 10-08-2015 08:04 AM

I'm pretty sure Lucic isn't wired right up there if you know what I mean.
Reminds me of an unstable dog
His good days are well behind him...I really hope Canucks don't bother with him next off season.

murd0c 10-08-2015 08:07 AM

I would be ok with him coming here if it was 4 year deal worth 12mill

Durrann 10-08-2015 08:28 AM

I'm impressed with Bartkowski's skating and puck handling
he can definitely take it from coast to coast

Nabatron 10-08-2015 08:37 AM

^he can take it coast to coast but then just dumps it! rather him take it to the net or atleast shoot on net instead of just dumping but yeah hes pretty solid overall!

My god sbisa just cannot make the simple play he has a brain fart a few times a game and it always costs us! It started a flames comeback but good thing flames fizzled out...

Ya I notice on the big rushes he kinda runs into the D and just lets it go into the corner or loses it. However, IIRC both times there was no open forward support for him to pass to or to retrieve the puck.

Has the ability to, just gotta work on the last part. Still promising.

This. Every time Bartkowski rushed the puck up, it was either during a change or there was no support on the far side. That said, I'm probably thinking he's reluctant since he's essentially first/second person out when Weber comes back in.

Jmac 10-08-2015 08:53 AM

Bartkowski is a trap breaker.

m3thods 10-08-2015 09:08 AM

You can really see why so many vets said Hutton impressed them the most (out of the new guys). Along with his skill and confidence with the puck, his enthusiasm is infectious listening to his interviews. Hopefully it continues on if he sticks around for the dog-days of December-February.

Nabatron 10-08-2015 09:35 AM

yeah hutton is a stud! kid is going to be the quarter back on the pp for years to come..canucks need more promising dman like him but so far so good!

I don't understand how that wasn't an assist.

McCann --> Burrows --> goal

Looch is like Byfuglien. Everyone hates them until they start playing for your team. He's the prototypical player to play with the Sedins

Nabatron 10-08-2015 10:17 AM

I dont see him as a good fit with the sedins seems too slow! would rather have him on the second line or just even on the team so other teams wouldnt fuck with us...ie Calgary and other big teams in the west!

Jmac 10-08-2015 10:50 AM

No hearings for both Brown and Lucic.

Seriously! You're a fucking enforcer so obviously peeps are gonna take a run at you. Take that shit like a man and score a fucking goal for your team or make a smart play or something. But don't get all pre-school playground butt hurt and, in turn, hurt your teams chances at winning. Not that that's what happened but short fuses lead to bad decisions.

Lucic with the Sedin's would actually be great IMO.

Figures, Brown is untouchable. That guy is the king of getting away with shit.

You make it sound like the Sedins have the foot speed of Pavel Bure. Speed doesn't matter so much since the Sedins are a possession and puck control line

McCann --> Burrows --> goal

The way it was explained was that it counted as an own goal so only credit is given to the last opposing player that touched the puck.

IE Billy Smith being the first goalie to "score" a goal.

Same thing happened last year when Wideman scored into his own goal on a delayed penalty call. Goal was credited to Weber.

But for McCann's sake, I would argue it as being a deflected own goal and give McCann the apple.
