I'm not contesting the 3 holes on the frontend, that's classic Alfa....... but filling them with black crate plastic that look like someone didn't go for the foglights option on what will assuredly be an $80k+ automobile is....... pretty fail.

I thought those cutouts are actually dual mode cruise control transceivers.. 1 for 77Ghz and 1 for 24Ghz.

Any how, I hope Alfa Romeo will come back some pedestrian cars.
is this going to work? trying to sell $$$ alfas next econobox fiats makes me think of how hyundai tries to sell their high-end genesis and equus models in the same showroom space with cheap accents and elantras?

Tough to say. I'm sure they will be available on the showroom in limited quantities, so if someone wanted to buy it, would have to make certain arrangements.

There's a reason why Alfa Romeo left the North American market way back when. Perhaps history is doomed to repeat itself!

I know you can find styling cues shared across cars but its a bit ridiculous.

does fiat still have ferrari as part of their portfolio? i thought it would make more sense to sell this car next to ferraris...

The 4C could probably do alright in a Ferrari dealership but that's already pushing the envelope of ruining Ferraris image. It would get by due its unique styling... This on the other hand probably wouldn't work parked next to an FF

Maybe a straight Maserati dealership with no Ferraris on the lot

For those of you who are old enough to remember, Brian Jessel had a Ferrari / Maserati dealership on Venables, near the La Casa Gelato. There was an Alfa Romeo sign as well, but I was never sure if he was trying to sell imported models or simply act as a service centre for Alfa Romeo owners (they're bloody simple cars anyway.)

I can see the business prospect of carrying Alfa Romeo's higher end / performance models alongside Maserati and Ferrari, but maybe not the Mito hahaha

I thought it was further East pass Octagon, no?

Well, that dealership is where the "BMW Prince" had his start.. haha

That's brings up another point current FCA dealership always strikes me as slimy and depressing.. how can they compete with their competitors on a customer relations level?

bcrdukes is correct (i'm old)... the old location was back to back with general paint, which was west of octagon motors (is octagon still around? )

Yes, Octagon Motors is still around and strong.

The Ferrari / Maserati dealership was there for a short while - it didn't last very long. And yes, it was west of Octagon Motors, a block or two west of Clark Drive across from La Casa Gelato (which is now a printing shop.)

The dealership had a short run, then moved to I think W. 2nd & Quebec, then somehow got quashed (I'm sure there was a story in The Vancouver Sun about it.)

From an optics point of view, I feel that selling the Alfa Romeo alongside the Fiats dilute the brand, but I guess that's an agreement that was decided by FCA. I recall taking the Fiat 500 Abarth for a test drive earlier in the year from Fiat of Vancouver, and yes, I had to deal with slimy sales people. I knew right away it wasn't the right place for me to buy a car, not the right car for me. The dealership in Richmond was no better, nor was Carter.

I wonder if this is a 488 motor with 2 cylinders lopped off. The displacement and power output fits.
