All new RWD platform with available AWD and 510hp V6TT, tuned by Ferrari. Those are really the only solid details currently released at the moment.

Lots of comments online about how it resembles the F10, but I wouldn't say that's a bad thing. So many regulations exist now that it's getting harder and harder for designers to create something completely unique. I'll certainly say I'm a little excited to see one of these on the road.

the rear is generic looking. Italian cars should have more characteristics.

who cares how it drives or how much power it has - just look at it. and you'll be driving an Alfa

Timpo 06-24-2015 10:10 AM

even Maserati is getting generic

Car looks good and honestly it's a safe styling you can't really go wrong. Do agree with timpo that all these cars seem to be looking more similar with the only distinguishing feature being front grill.

First official video, with sound of the Giulia.

Does fiat Chrysler Alfa share any parts interchangeably?

Wonder what the reliability is like on the new Alfa's.

Italian sports saloons in our market is much welcomed. Any idea on the price tag?

bcrdukes 06-24-2015 11:55 AM

Cool, they retained the four leaf clover :)

thumper 06-24-2015 12:06 PM

carbon brakes :o

how much is this going to all cost?

originalhypa 06-24-2015 12:10 PM

geezus! that is a nice Alfa.
Where will one be able to buy these?

Please don't tell me that I have to deal with some shady Dodge salesman in a cheap suit.

I believe Fiat of Vancouver is authorized to sell Alfa Romeo. They will have the 4C available so I think it's safe to say they will also carry the Giulia.

Any how, I hope Alfa Romeo will come back some pedestrian cars.

And STFU TOS'd.

I believe this is designed to be an M3 fighter, with the Giulia being a 3-series competitor. So you can probably expect prices to be similar.

StylinRed 06-24-2015 09:18 PM

the styling makes me feel like im in the 90's and for what i'm sure will be a high price, that seems unreasonable -_-

Interesting to see how they take the Maserati engine to compete in the small car sector.. as long as it sounds good (which 4 leaves clover Alfas usually do).. and as long as you are leasing, you are golden.

If you have seen Alfas the last decade, I think this is a huge improvement!

That is one sweet looking sedan, curvy yet aggressive

68style 06-24-2015 10:44 PM

Personally I disagree, there is nothing styling wise about this Alfa that will make it a classic, it's going to look old in a not-good way a year or two after its released and is a big step back IMO. Cheap plastic grates all over the front end, indecisive looking headlights (love them or leave them, the wedges on the most recent 159 housing round bulbs were distinctly Alfa)... this thing is a bulgy mess with an identity crisis drivetrain...

The 4C is an Alfa... this is... I don't even know what this is. It looks like a Chrysler 200 with an Italianized (I can't say Italian because it lacks any dramatic flair) face and ass.

godwin 06-24-2015 11:05 PM

Well in their defense.. you need the cheap FRP plastic grill bits to do mass market car with active aero, right now. Companies with iconic grills like BMW, Mercedes etc are all stuck because grills cut into aerodynamics, but if your company design element depends on them, you can't really get rid of it overnight. I see the same problem with the Giulia..

In my mind the classic Alfas are the late 80s - early 90s.. they are much more angular.

In the end I am just glad that they finally have RWD back in an Alfa.

I don't think they needed to stick black milk crates all over the frontend to compensate for having a movable front lip spoiler?

godwin 06-24-2015 11:15 PM

No the 3 craters are to evoke relationship to models like the Veloce, Guiletta etc. It is part of their design element.. kind of like the bug eyed 911 vs the fried egg 996. It is what it is.
