Hey guys, selling a well maintained Legacy GT (non-turbo) as I need the funds to go back to school and down-size to a much smaller car. I am the third owner of this vehicle and I purchased it June of 2012. Since then it has done several major fix-ups and put a huge amount of money to keep it in top condition. The AWD is incredible for snow and rainy conditions. The GT model comes with a vLSD whereas the L and other models do not. Clean title, no accidents. 5-speed manual. Zero mods done to it, minus the suspension. Never cheaped out on a part.
Car currently sits at 200,xxx kms. Previous owner installed H&R sport springs with KYB GR2s. A very mild drop, great ride. Still have the stock springs if you want.
Fixes includes:
Head gasket replacement done at 160,xxx kms by Kon Auto (needs to be done around this time for EJ251s and other similar variants).
Machining of block and heads along with HG and many other things Kon did that I need to resort back to the list.
Timing belt replacement along with HG.
Clutch recently replaced.
O2 sensor replacement.
New calipers, pads, rotors on all four corners.
New clutch master cylinder and hose replacement.
New power window operation console replacement.
Continental DWS tires with 80%+ remaining (the wear indicator still shows DWS [Dry Wet Snow])
Kenwood deck.
Most of major work done by Kon Auto.
Engine oil changed every 4000km with 10w-30 GTX and OEM Subaru filters. Fresh drivetrain fluid.
Looking at the list, it seems foolish to sell the car, but my needs and wants have changed so I'm gonna say bye to my Subbie.
The bads include a small crack on the windshield, and a few scuffs on the trunk because the pedals on my MTB scratched it.
Like many Subbies, they have their infamous rattles and wind noise coming from their stupid (but awesome) frameless windows.
