I was in the Peg in May for work. There's not much to do but I was warned at the hotel not to walk the streets at night in DT and stay away from the north end. Supposedly the north end is fine during the day and has some great restaurants if you're a foodie.

Go to the aviation museum!

Never been though.

don't stay in DT hotels. I recommend the newer and nicer ones near the airport. there's the hipster area of osborne. the mall near the airport is ok. I was there last week and there was an oldsmobile auto show. lots of classics and some newer muscle, euro and import cars.

if you still have time to kill then go on tripadvisor and go to their decently ranked restaurants.
