Pretty good show I thought. Glad it was free to attend. I was happy I was able to bring my car considering it had been down and out for a year. Lots of nice vehicles in attendance. Cool to put some faces to screen names and seeing some old peeps that I hadn't seen in a while.
The awards were kind of lack luster and the announcer chick botched the award for the MDA Fab guys. "MDM, MDM, is MDM here? Oh, I mean MDF, MDF." Some dude shouted MDA and then she got it right. Haha!

inb4 the ppl who paid 50-70$ come in with the terrible reviews , which by the sound of it i dont blame them. Definitely needs better organization , but cant complain, i got my selfie with kristina chai

Organization was pretty bad imo.. A lot of staff there seemed unprofessional and some were volunteers, just overall kind of ruined the HIN name for me. No one knew about the two separate lots for VIP and non VIP, was also the first time that I saw such a big difference between the two entries. Many people up top at the main lot didn't even know that the bottom lot existed. Halfway through the show, half of the bottom show lot was given out to public parking for the casino, then a few hours later the people at the bottom lot were told they had to move since the casino needed that parking lot back for customers, lol. Early in the afternoon there were a bunch of people who were registered in the non VIP lot asking for money back or asking to be moved up to the top lot, and that was a huge mess. Had people screaming and shouting, the staff yelling back after being yelled at.
No security, one of the guys who got denied access to the VIP lot literally just drove the car up there himself past the Blitzgear guys and parked his car and got a spot up at the VIP lot. Had a bunch of people randomly starting their cars and revving the shit out of it, and I'm not talking about the rev off either that they had afterwards. Overall it was ridiculous, but I'm sure no one that was simply looking at the show noticed much of it. It was kind of bunk, but I did like the music there and when the sun set and car lights went on, it was pretty cool. Other than that, seemed like an overhyped car meet that you had to pay to enter. Importfest and the regular REVscene summer meets are by far better than HIN. Also, what was up with the tickets being sold for $$ and then having it at a parking lot where anyone could walk in without paying?
Just needed to rant a bit after that experience. Bleh. Anyways, here are a few pictures that I quickly snapped before the sun set
Oops, out of focus |

yeah the show was MEh for me too, very unorganized interms of parking, awareness, and event policing. the announcer did a shitty job. but i came for the cars and to chat with the owners anyways

The MC was pretty cringe. Most of the time spent was "come on guys you're making me sleepy!"
Should've just gotten felixy69 to MC lol
The revving was ridiculous. You got some douchebag in a corner bouncing off redline of their car/motorcycle while it's way quieter than the actually built cars.
Then there's the awards that went to the exotics with widebody kits. There are other builds that have way more time and effort put in inside out with custom interiors and built motors, which were simply overlooked.

For whoever had a negative experience at this show please note that its not reflective of other shows. I've been to the HIN in Seattle last year (as I'm sure many others here have too) and it was much better organized with all more vendors, more events and more cars (and all in the Tacoma Dome) without the segregation.
edit*
also as I was leaving someone snagged a picture of me, can you send it? blue e46 with bike rack on roof

I'm more interested in the "Non-VIP" cars in the other lot. Please post pics of the other lot.

Overall I definitly had a good time at the show.
I realLy like the fact that It was free and located near a high traffic area.
It gave the chance to non automotive poeple to get to know us...and understand that not all of us are street racers and that some of us treat our car as a plateform for arts and creativity.
It also gave a chance for vendors like BPG tuning to really promote their products to general public where their market is.
I do wish their stage set up was better and should put more budget into their audio equipments. The fu*k ups on theIR mic are very annoying

Your car is pretty much a piece of history at this point. Too fucking epic dude.
I have shown so many people a picture of your hood, and they all thought I had done my photoshop magic on it to get the clear hood effect, they were all shocked when I told them that's what its actually like.

Overall, slightly questionable organization was running behind a decently arranged show, hopefully 2016 becomes a more solid production.

Pretty hurting. Left within 15-20min. Think this event ruined the "import scene" tbh.
Cars were nice, but the event blew.

Looked even worse in person. I was looking for parking but i ended up in the registration line from all the staff directing me that way. (Guess that was a good thing lol) I wanted to take pics of the nice line up of cars but i was stuck behind that thing so i had to go out of my way to snap in front of his car, cause it would have been ruined. SEE THE FRONT OF HIS CAR ON THE LEFT IN THE LINE UP?? |
